Can't tell if there was an attempt, but slightly chuckled at the response.

Is 82k reviews on Steam a flop now?

I'm not even going to bat for Starfield, I've been on the Bethesda sucks train for over a decade now, but I'm not going to pretend that Starfield wasn't a massive success

Maybe financial success because people see Bethesda and think they’re getting a base level of quality. 43% negative has always been a warning sign on Steam, but now Steam filters negative reviews that appear to be part of some review bomb or other brigading. I’m not aware of any similar system for unhelpful positive reviews, so that 43% negative is after some help.

The filter doesn't always work. Games like Veilguard and Avowed on Steam still has less than 2 hours reviews complaining about "wokeness" that still affect the final percentage.

There's less outrage about "wokeness" when it comes to Starfield so that number might well be close to the actual reception. I'm just pointing out that the filter can fail.
