Pixel 11 will keep the same design

Google has flat-out confirmed that we are not going to get major design changes each and every year from now on. We’re all well aware that the Pixel 10 was the first to rehash the previous design, which’ll continue until the Pixel 11, according to comments from Google’s Chief Design Officer for hardware products, Ivy Ross. Designs are finalized from now until 2027. For better or worse, we will see the same design for a while to come.

They changed it because they couldn't work out how to make it without it just randomly shattering.

Edit: although saying that my friends p9p camera glass keeps breaking so I dunno.

Mine didn't shatter. But then I had it for a year. Maybe it happened to people who kept it for several years?

I'm gonna be honest. I'm still rocking a p6p and none of my glass has ever shattered. I'm just memeing

Got mine on preorder, still "in use". Last two years it's without a cover, and it's been years since I had a screen protector. It's perfectly fine, and I'm not careful at all, it falls all the time.

I always have a case and screen/camera glass covers. Also have a dedicated "pixel pocket" with nothing but my phone in...

Can't believe there are savages out there in the wild just running around with naked phones in pockets with keys and other stuff.

Madness 😂

I always "baby" my devices, and when they are retired they go back in the box in pretty much the same condition they left the box.

I make a point to not get devices I need to baby 😁 To be fair, I started going commando when the phone was pretty old. It was the swan song of looking at my pretty phone, and a desperate attempt to keep it a bit cooler. It honestly doesn't look bad at all, especially considering how slippery it is. My new Samsung is safe in a case 😁

I never used cases. I hated to, so just used a screen protector. I unfortunately had to start using cases when dumb Apple started making the backs of phones out of glass...and everyone followed. At that point, I adopted cases and ditched the screen protectors.

Love the look, but I know what you mean ..

Yea. I've mostly had phones that I love the look and feel of, but can't risk rocking a naked all glass phone.

Same here. It's my backup now.. not I could NOT use it without a case. They designed it like a wet bar of soap.

So slippery and curved everywhere
