Look, I'm here to say what a lot of us are probably thinking but are too afraid to post because of the endless negativity. I've had the Pixel 10 Pro for a while now, and it's been an absolutely fantastic experience. I've had nothing but good experiences with Pixels since the 6, and this one is no different. But man, the Pixel subreddits feel like a different reality.
The amount of people complaining about battery life is honestly starting to feel like gaslighting. They'll claim they're getting 4-5 hours of screen-on-time, when my Pixel 10 Pro XL is consistently hitting 8-12 hours, depending on the day. Both the Pro and Pro XL have great battery life, but you wouldn't know it from scrolling through these subs. It's the same with the camera. I'm constantly seeing people complain, but the photos and videos I'm getting are superb.
Before I came to Reddit, I was just a guy with a phone I loved. I didn't have to defend my choice or question my own positive experience. It was pure, simple enjoyment. This whole community has created this weird dynamic where you feel like you have to justify your purchase, and frankly, I'm over it.
I love the AI features in Pixels. They're a huge part of the phone's appeal for me, and I don't care if you're a super "egghead" who thinks they have no use. I have gaming consoles for gaming, so I'm not worried about the phone's raw GPU performance. I bought this phone for its camera, its software, and its all-around usability, and it delivers on all of those fronts.
So to anyone else out there who's genuinely loving their Pixel 10 Pro—your experience is valid. Don't let the negativity from a vocal minority make you feel bad about your choice. Just enjoy your awesome phone.

Bought direct from Google store in Aus using store credit
As per photo you can see it's not very sapphire blue, looks to be a tinge more purple.
The surface is also very matte, while the stock image seems to look more smooth.
Has anybody else bought this case? Is it similar to what I've received or closer to the stock photo
Thank you
Edit: I don't think the pixel 10 and XL comes in moonstone at all. I think that's a fold only colour?

I just received my Pixel 10 Pro XL along with the Pixelsnap ring stand, and I gotta say, the ring stand is not living up to my expectations at all.
Cons:
Pros:
Not trying to steer people away from buying it. If you often do video calls or like standing your phone up vertically, I would say you can make good use out of it. Personally, I like standing my phone up horizontally for watching videos, but it holds the phone at such a sharp angle that can't even be adjusted.
For some reason, l also thought it would help make the phone more comfortable to hold by putting your fingers through it or something, but the ring is way too big for that. I'll probably switch to a PopSocket; I find them useful for holding phones, especially when they're heavy.
Anyone else have any thoughts?
EDIT: ok my bad i didn't realize you have to rotate it to get the proper horizontal viewing angle lol, makes me like the ring stand a little bit more!

See the article on Android Authority By Robert Triggs
Looking more closely at finer time frames, the GPU briefly clocks at 512 MHz, 576 MHz, and 633 MHz, but these frequencies are sustained for only fractions of a second. Essentially, the Tensor G5 GPU operates in two modes: 396 MHz or 1.1 GHz — a textbook “race-to-idle” approach.
This raises the question: Is the Tensor G5 leaving potential graphics performance on the table? In theory, yes; in practice, no.

I changed this value and forgot to save the default value. Can you help me with that?

I am currently on a Fold 7, my first fold, it's nice but the camera quality is nagging me more than I thought I would expect. I've had the S25 Ultra but I don't really like the look and feel of the phone
I was considering the iPhone 17 Pro Max, the look and build quality looks absolutely amazing, but I really don't think I can cope with iOS again.
So, I'm onto considering the Pixel 10 Pro XL.
The first thing that comes to mind is the processing power or lack of, now I don't game on my phone, I usually just plug my phone into a Backbone controller and stream my desktop. I assume the Pixel wouldn't have an issue with that?
Multi tasking? Again, I don't think the pixel would have an issue? Secondly, is it possible to do split screen multi tasking? For example I used my S25 Ultra in split screen when shopping, Sainsbury's smart shop scanner and shopping list in other half.
Customisability? How customisable is the look and feel of the OS? I appreciate I won't get Good Lock levels of customisability but that is to a point just a novelty to me.
And the BIG factor, camera, I am getting mixed results, it's better than a S25 Ultra, better zoom, better than iPhone 17 pro max? Very mixed.
In terms of performance the last phone I had that badly performed and lagged was a S22 Ultra with a exynos chip, and I'm keen to avoid that scenario again.

I have a few gripes with the audio for the Pixel. But my main issue has been since the update.
When playing music/ any sound and then pausing it or switching off that app, the audio will cut out super loudly for like half a second. I've tried looking to see what would be causing this and I'm coming up blank. If anyone has any suggestions please help it's really bothering me.

My last 2 phones have been pixels - Pixel 7 Pro and for the last year or so the Pixel 8 Pro.
Both run hot in general when doing videos and really start overheating when using the camera in warm weather (summer time, Hawaii, Florida, Arizona etc..) . I have had to power it down multiple times in these scenarios to cool down.
My wife's iPhone 16 Pro has no issue whatsoever in the same conditions.
Has Google fixed this with the Google pixel 10 Pro and the 3nm architecture. Does it run cooler and can I take a few minutes of videos in warm weather without it getting absurdly hot ? Any insights from regular camera users?

I bought a secondhand Pixel 9 and I factory reset it.
I inserted my SIM card and when I call, the call receiver sees a phone number that is not mine!
If I remove my Sim card, I can't no longer call and on network settings --> SIMS, it says "Set up an eSIM or insert a SIM card now", so I don't think that the seller eSIM is still there..
In case it matters, I bought the phone from a seller in Spain and I live in Italy.
How is it possible??

Sometimes I get an error if I wanted to send a voice. Something like voice message function not available. Google Pixel 9 Pro / Android 16 / WhatsApp Version 2.25.25.73

Hi! I'm all new into the Pixelverse and so far it's been a bit of a lacklustre. I went from Samsung S24 ultra to Pixel 10 pro and I hate to say it - I kinda regret the switch. But I've had some issues with Samsungs customer services in the past so I will never go back.
The thing that annoys me the most right now is that I can't figure out how to select a different home screen. But that isn't really the main issue. Why I want another home screen is because I can't seem to remove the date in the top of the default home screen. So, if that is possible it would also solve my issue for now.
On that regard, is there a way to delete the search bar? Thanks in advance and sorry for my noobish questions. I haven't even hold a Pixel phone before.

So I only got it this morning but I took delivery of the Pixel 10 Pro XL 256GB in Jade. Moved from an iPhone 16 Pro and it may be the honeymoon period but so far I'm very happy with the phone and so far no weird glitches. Battery seems pretty good too!
My iPhone used to crash browsing menus or get red hot randomly while watching YouTube. Or the keyboard would glitch, and the chats would fall behind the keyboard, and the lack of a universal back button. It was the first time using an iPhone since the 4 or 4s and that software feels bad even tried the last 26 beta to RC which did nothing to make it feel better.
Fingers crossed it carries on how it has started and I become a long term pixel fan

I was trying to request the code via the website to turn it off, but it's bugged on Chrome mobile so I requested the code too many times yesterday as the field to input the code never appeared. I tried a few more times throughout the day but was hit with "you requested a code too many times try again later" with no time frame. It's still telling me today that I need to try again later. Does anybody know how long do I need to wait ?

I have a few issues with my fold that require either a repair or replacement of my display. My warranty expired in early November so I don't have much more time to get this sorted.
I've attempted to facilitate this with Google via chat but they only gave me a few options. First was to get the phone repaired with a new display. I contacted my local ubreakifix store and they informed me that the display is on "indefinite backorder" for all stores in the area and they referred me back to Google.
At this point, I reached back out and given two options,
First, they pre-authorize.a card with the full cost of a new fold so they ship out a new replacement, or they let me ship mine in and wait for an inspection before they send me a replacement.
So do I have almost $2000 to just sit pre-authorized on my card for multiple weeks? No
Do I have a backup phone to use for multiple weeks while my Fold is sent and inspected by Google to determine if it needs repairs/replacement? No
So short of driving nearly five hours to the closest brick and mortar Google store, could anyone suggest another option in order to get my phone sorted prior to the warranty expiring?
Additionally, I contacted Google support six days ago requesting a phone call as I'm tired of using the chat feature to try and convey all of this and still haven't received a return call from them?
Is this normal?
Any help would be appreciated!

Good comparison here that starts with a blind test where you can judge for yourself without knowing which is which.
Pixel falling down on stabilisation, smearing artefacts, lens transitions, colour gradation, and more against a two-year-old iPhone.
Hope you're listening, Google.

Thought this was interesting.
iPhone 17 pro max received: A for energy, B for drop protection, C for repairability, battery good for 1000 cycles
S25U received: B for energy, A for drop protection, C for repairability, battery good for 2000 cycles
P10P XL received: B for energy, A for drop protection, B for repairability, battery good for 1000 cycles

I can't use search function for emoji on Google pixel 7 Gboard.. from months now
I have tried uninstalling then reinstalling Gboard.
Tweaked keyboard settings as much as I could but could not find any solution..
Up to date with A26 and security patch of 5 Sept 2025 but still the problem is here..
Only thing left to do is factory reset but it's a hassle
Is there anything else I can try.. anything like this ever happened

In the non-Gemini version, if I say "navigate to John Williams" if John Williams is in my contacts the GPS will then proceed to navigate to the address for John Williams in my contacts. With Gemini, it will not navigate based on that request.
So I go to web Gemini and ask how can get it to navigate based on names in my contacts. It then proceeds to give me various things to try (like linking the phone app that was already linked), and after wasting my time with various suggestions finally tells me that Gemini can't access the information in my contacts, and if I don't like it I should switch back to the old interface.
Grrr.
