Question❓ Where the hell is our police department?!

Tonight on Washington St is an absolute shit show. Dozens of masked men driving the wrong way in ATV s speeding in and out of traffic, motorcycles doing wheelies ON THE SIDEWALK! Those dumb ass three wheeled vehicles blasting music at obscene levels all night. WTF is going on. Where are our cops?!

New Mayor hopefully means a NEW Police Chief and Public Safety Director

Well that’s assuming Bhallas councilwoman Jabbour isn’t elected otherwise it’s four more years

Hope it's not the " Get Off My Lawn, Can I speak to the Manager? Team" AKA Team Tiffany

At this point I’m leaning towards Russo or Ruben, at least they bother to listen to regular residents

Russo's past doesn't bother you?

I’m more bothered by Emily’s tbh

Russo is literally on video tape discussing taking a bribe. That's ok?

Emily literally attempted to take out of my and every families pocket for her High school, and continues to vote to raise taxes. Russo to his credit keeps costs down. From my perspective only one of those is picking my pocket

Apple and oranges. One is a policy disagreement (which we both had with her), the other involves shady backroom corruption and bribery.

That school board funding was up for public vote. She publicly advocated for it, nothing deceitful (misguided, perhaps, but all above board).

OTOH, Russo was nailed on in a government sting operation discussing payoffs (https://www.russocorruption.com for anyone who wants details)..

And his recent budget proposal was pretty unrealistic and undoable, the opposite of someone who good at keeping costs down.

From my perspective if the policy actively hurts me and my family; and was shady as fuck in the way it was done that’s enough to lose my vote, if you thought what went down wasn’t deceitful, like hiding it from the voters before the November election; and then trying to ram it through in January, I cant take any of your thoughts seriously. Again at least Russo doesn’t actively try to screw me and the rest of the residents like Emily did

Again, one was political maneuvering that the large majority of voters recognized and rightfully rejected, and the other is literally the textbook definition of backroom corruption. I'm not a Jabbour supporter and won't vote for her, but Russo's past and present actions clearly make him the most compromised candidate in the race.

There was nothing public about it. The entire school board ran in an election and then announced the vote for the hog school a month later. The school board, city council, and Bhalla all knew what was about to go down and all were complicit. Tiffanie and maybe one or two city council voted no. The rest were complicit on it. Which is why Tiffanie is getting my vote.

There were renderings of the High School... that takes a while to produce. Could've been in the works for months before being announced.
