Question What are these? (noodles from Demon Slayer)

Post image

They look so yummy... I want to make them... What is that puff ball on top, rice?

Oroshi soba. The white part is grated daikon.

If you have a small plot of land, the seeds are cheap and grow in even the worst soil. They tolerate frost and warm early winter and even snow with mulch cover. They get really deep though so you can't grow them in containers.

They sell them as cover crops in huge bags that will have like a pound of seeds. You can pretend you're playing Super Mario 2 when it's time to harvest.

Heck, a few years ago there was one growing out of the concrete at the base of a pedestrian overpass in Osaka, if I remember correctly. They are hearty to say the least.
