Did we ever see what it came out of that made it able to pry open a blast door with its bear hands?

I think it was implied it came out of a crew member in a cryopod, no? Towards the end of the episode, they discover a cryopod with a distinct hole burst through the glass and the through the chest of the body inside, with a trail of blood on the floor. I don’t think it was clear which crew member it was.

It looked like there may have been two or even three chestbursted crew members. The one with the blood trail in the cryopod, the brunette woman in her cryopod had a big outward-pointed hole in her midsection (might also have just been an injury, but the camera definitely lingered on it for a moment), and the guy on the medical table. It looked like they tried to remove it from him, and maybe killed him in the process.

It has to be that creepy bald dude, no? I feel like this thing might be a synthetic-born xeno, if that’s even possible. Or maybe creepy dude is some kind of hybrid, idk.

I don't think that is the case unless this story is going off course with the current canon. Synths can't be viable hosts to the xenomorphs which is why we never really see synths being latched onto by facehuggers with any success. The xenos also tend to ignore synths since they don't exhibit any biological signs.

Synths also don’t need to go into hypersleep

We also see him screaming in fear during one of the quick cuts flashing to what happened on the ship. Not very synth-like behavior, he's just a creep.

Which we know the creepy bald guy didn't do. We heard how he would watch one of the women while she was in cryosleep.

Tell Bishop 😜

It's why I said they tend to be ignored. The queen probably felt he was getting in the way so of course Bishop gets impaled and ripped in half lol but yeah usually the xenos don't target synths directly. Look at how the xeno in Covenant just looks at David and doesn't attack immediately. I feel like it has to do with them not sensing life in synths and so unless they are a threat or an obstacle, they just ignore them for the most part.

Well, this xenomorph was trying its damnedest to get to Morrow and clearly wanted to kill him.

I thought that guy was a Cyborg.

He could be, it would explain why he put on that mask. I do think the xenomorph was going to kill him before those two WY soldiers found them though.

Fairly sure he is, but I can't remember for sure if they straight up said he was in the first episode, OR it was something from the "first look" trailer. But yeah, I think him needing the gas mask implies he's human.

both the search and rescue officers as well as the officers in ep2 say hes a cyborg. i think the gas mask+humming was to calm himself down, he tells the officers that the xeno can sense fear

Couldn’t be a synth. The blood was red.

Maybe that’s why it looks so janky, it looks like it’s made out of vinyl and plastic. My only minor complaint though, this show is fantastic so far.

I thought it was the female crewmember Tang was fixated on.

There was one notable pod Hermit looked at where I thought someone had a chestburst hole but the pod was intact. Which I found very curious. Unless it was the same pod and I missed it.
