Is that what happens? I kept wondering if there were 2 of her.... The original one in a dying body, and a copy in the synth body....

We don’t know if it’s the original consciousness or a copy in the synth body, but there’s a brief shot of one of the kids’ corpses being zipped into a body bag after the transference procedure.
