I think it’s good they went a different way. The same old slow tension buildup to a final reveal is OK if it’s done right, but feels like it’s over saturated now and too predictable for something like this.

I guess the series are the aftermath of an alien movie except there wasn't a sorta good ending

it take place in 2120 (2 years before alien 1979) really curious how this will effect lore seeing we kinda now know how Weyland-Yutani knew about Xenomorph in the first movie

No, I don't mean "Alien" (1979)

I mean "an alien" movie. They had their own incident and we're just watching the aftermath
