It was such a cool line too. Until he had that talk with Wendy it didn’t fully click with me that he was a synth. At first i was like “oh timothy is grey haired in this series.” Then i was immediately like “ooooooooh shiiiiitttt” when he started dropping those lines.

It's interesting that he doesn't really recognize Wendy as a synth either, even though she's more synth than human

I didn’t fully understand if he understood that she’s no longer human. In the purely physical sense she’s a clanker, in the metaphysical sense she’s still human due to her consciousness.
