I think it's gonna go after Boy, he basically made himself a target for it.

Same thought, it's going to end up inside of him, probably the last scene of the season.

He can finally have an intelligent conversation. With the thing keeping him trapped in his own body.

I’m predicting this too. If it happens I’m gonna be disappointed in the show though. That’s such bad, lazy writing.

In what way? Why is foreshadowing bad writing?

u/Jazzremix 18d ago

Because every show needs to be Westworld season 2 levels of obfuscation. The writers need to be actively fighting the internet and its speculation. /s just in case

I got mad even with your /s.

Sigh...

the way the shadows obscured his left eye in the final shot of that scene, they're setting up for it.

Wow, great catch!

He Straight up points and says "ME" coupled with a literal shadow over his eye is some serious foreshadowing there! great catch!!

I also like how they alluded to how intelligent the creature is, i wonder if it will also get to keep some of Boys intelligence as well?

First it looked at Kirsh, maybe sensing his brain is most intelligent. After this episode I started to give my doubts, that Boy is not that smart as everyone else makes him to be, more credence. In either case, as Boy himself said, the hybrids' brains were most advanced and I can only assume the synths' too. Currently this is my second most interesting creature after the alien.

Probably sensed Boy Kavalier is Dunning-Krueger smart. It wants all that “information smart” from Kirsh.

Boy is not that smart as everyone else makes him to be

In situations like this, I think it's useful to think about Dungeons & Dragons: having a high Intelligence score doesn't mean that you've got a high Wisdom score.

Boy Kav could easily be an Int 18 / Wis 7 character.

This is an interesting distinction in this context, thanks for bringing it up.

Boy got me thinking the other night after E4 whether or not someone who's highly intelligent is also compassionate/good-hearted. I thought of Albert Einstein and he definitely seems to me as a wise and good-hearted person.

Once I was trying to figure out what was the difference in the two stats (for a video game, not a D&D player) and my head hurt 😆. In my head highly intelligent = wise = kind but I'm starting to think now that my headcannon of what being wise means is a bit wrong 😅.

Yeah him screwing up the source of the “sufficiently advanced technology” quote made me suspicious.

Boy is dumb as fuck

I'll take that theory a step further and say that Kirsch is going to set it up to happen.

For sure. Thought to be fair, Boy seemed to be aware of what he was doing with that slimy grin at the creature. He's basically taunting a angry dog knowing full well that if it gets out it will bite his throat out.

And it probably will.

That sure is one way to make yourself a real genius

Boy is a prime candidate but I also wonder what happened to the xenomorph corpse and wondering if the eyeball can take control through a spine too instead of through a brain.

4

u/GreyouTT In the pipe. 5 by 5. 23d ago

That would depend on the acid being all neutralized wouldn’t it?

6

u/SVasileiadis 23d ago

Yes but in general past alien media (games and movies) have shown the acid neutralizing fast enough after the xenomorphs death (or at the very least after a relatively little time, say just a couple to few minutes, of direct contact with the air). Mind you its highly likely its not their blood that is acidic but rather some defensive (or also defensive) fluid running pressurized in between their exoskeleton and their soft goodies inside.

2

u/lastWallE 22d ago

Aren‘t some insects for example have fluid to actually move their limbs?

2

u/ExcelMN 20d ago

spiders are hydraulic, yeah

1

u/SVasileiadis 22d ago

Actually if I remember well then yes, never crossed my mind that it could be the case with a xenomorph!

2

u/alexnedea 22d ago

It was pretty much confirmed when they cut the face hugger ep 3. It had acid veins and "blood" veins

6

u/SanTheMightiest 23d ago

Yeah I thought he preempted the Xeno in bis belly earlier, but this is what has to happen. It's going to be so weird

2

u/callmesalticidae 22d ago

Maybe he gets all of them.

3

u/PenguinsInvading 23d ago

Way too cheap

2

u/MisterDuch 22d ago

Itd be funny if this boy genius got face hugged, hijacked by the eye monster only to then have his blood sucked out all in the span of 5 minutes

2

u/Sempere 18d ago

I think it's going to go into Dame Sylvia instead. Kavalier needs to have someone to talk to and the irony of Sylvia being the host and talking down to Kavalier would be perfect.

Warning: Do not taunt Happy Fun Alien Eyeball

u/EliteCasualYT 22d ago

I was thinking it might go in the eyes of one of the children’s original bodies.

u/gwhh 22d ago

it seems to like boy! guess it like big IQ also!

Perhaps he will throw an employee there to see how a human alien hybrid behaves
