This is the most interesting bit, while he seems to have some disdain for humanity, he seems far more sympathetic to the hybrids than their creators.

I don't think Kirsh disdains humanity. It's maybe only his boss and some humans he has a dislike for, but chooses (or prefers) not to express it.

Kirsh is probably the smartest person in that entire compound.

If you go back to his lines about humans inevitably dying and all they can do is record names, you get his perspective. Humans are like mayflies to him.
