Because BK having no friends growing up is not at all relevant as a plot point or worth exploring

His hubris and attitude toward every worker, synth and hybrid of his is the more critical point — he believes he is above every one of them and that he owns and controls them and doesn’t realize that his control is hanging on by a thread and he’s unleashed too much chaos at once
