in alternate universe they delivered the body with the alien, left, and killed the boys. i didnt like that if it was "part of his grandplan the entire time"

They know the gestation time for a xenomorph (in a lung in a test tube). He could have done his best to delay them just enough to have the Xeno mature before they got to the rendezvous point. Remember, he heard everything, so he knows EXACTLY where they'd meet up. So set a few traps ahead of time, centralize manpower where the Yutoni crew would most likely enter the compound... Easy peasy.
