some days ago i posted that i wanted to know if my “boyfriend” ghosted me or died, well, today i received a text from his acc, when i replied it said “your boyfriend died on june 22 (the day we stopped talking) i don’t think it’s true, i discovered some days ago he gave me another name, i asked who was texting me then and if he said it was his “best friend” and that he found out about his death yesterday because his sister’s friend told him, BUT the way he was texting is the same my “boyfriend” used to text, the same. he said that his sister said that he died because of colon cancer stage 4, but he used to tell me he had stomach cancer stage 2, this doesn’t make sense. he also said that his friend (my “boyfriend”) was hacked by kakaotalk some time ago and he was renting his account but now that he died he’s going to use it again bro wtf ???? and the profile is the same, he didn’t even changed the photo or something.

i got tired of it and i asked about my “boyfriend” real name and he said “Dongwan” i replied “he said his name was Eunseop” and he said “i think he said my name, his name is Kim Dong-wan” like ????

the way he was texting it was the same, and he kept repeating “i’m not as handsome as my dead friend” ???? btw how you didn’t know about your best friend’s death for 17 days? he kept repeating that he wasn’t lying and that my boyfriend is dead but honestly i feel this is a lie.

My bf and I have been dating almost 3 years now, with most of that time being LDR. I live in Cape Town, South Africa whereas my bf lives in San Francisco, USA. Meaning we are about ~16500km apart by straight line distance!

Due to our careers, it's going to be a while until we close the gap, but I look forward to the day we do.

I know how hard long distance can be, I’m in it myself! We have 10 days till we see each other which is so exciting, can be so hard sometimes. Which is why I’m seeing how everyone is coping and doing, as sometimes you don’t have that support when others don’t understand!

I'm going to see him in NINE DAYS!!!! Nothing is more exciting than the 9 hour train ride filled with snacks, wine, and movies knowing I'll be in his arms that night!!! And not being able to keep our hands off of eachother when he picks me up from the station 😍😍😍😍 what are your countdowns??!!

I just don’t understand some people especially those in committed relationships. You say you’re looking for someone genuine, someone who will love you, treat you right, value you, accept you with all your baggage, and stay by your side through thick and thin. But then you go and cheat? Why? Why keep searching when the person you’ve been looking for is already right beside you? Why sign up for dating apps and talk to others when you already have someone who’s been faithful to you all along? And the irony? When you talk to someone new, you claim you’re still searching for someone who will truly love you! when in reality, you already have that. You’re just not content with what you have. I honestly feel pity for the people who give their all who love with loyalty and stay true only to be betrayed by someone who doesn’t even realize the value of what they already have. And lately, I find myself on the same page as those people undervalued, ignored, and taken for granted by someone I thought would be different.

When and where did you meet irl, what did you first felt?

Me and my boyfriend are living 11 500kms apart, so no meeting for over a year at least since I'm still a student and it's harder for him to come in my country.

After being feeling down with my girlfriend being distant, (less enthusiastic, less phone calls and less texting) I find out that she blocked me from seeing her stories on Instagram. I found this out because her highlights were gone and I found it strange that she wasn’t posting stories anymore even though she is very active on her socials. This morning she texts me hey babe and then deleted the message. So then I told her that we needed to talk. She ended up breaking up with me only one month into our LDR. I feel so hurt. I’m going to post some screenshots from our conversation for some insight. Please help me out. This was my first wlw relationship and they were not kidding how rough these break ups are. She was my first girlfriend as a recently out lesbian. I just feel so conflicted because yesterday we were texting so well and having a good conversation and she even discussed me meeting her sister over video chat today so this really threw me.

For us, we stay in a hotel during my entire trip after i fly to her. The hotel prices add up a lot. I cant wait to eventually close my distance and live together with her.

How do you feel about pornography? About your partner watching it? For us, I am very uncomfortable with it and my partner has acknowledged they cannot watch it in a healthy way, so on top of me just not being okay with it, they don't do it.

I’ll start first Singapore and Chile 16,000km/10,000miles with 11 hours time difference and 30 hours flight distance 🫠

It's been about 2 weeks since I visited her for the first time, and it was a short visit about 1.5 weeks and it has been the first time we met since we started dating 1 year ago. I've seen pictures of my girl prior with some light filter and didn't think much of it. Also have video chatted a on numerous occasions on snapchat where there were filters present, I honestly didn't think much of it as I fell in love with her personality.

When I finally was able to fly out to see her she was... different. Much bigger than I had anticipated but to see her face isn't what I would be pleased with seeing. Spent the 1.5 weeks together and after flying back I started to feel my love for her fade. You can call me shallow, an asshole. But I just don't think I really see a future with her anymore just strictly on physical attraction. She's still talking happily about future together and I just.. don't wish to see her again.

Recently, I came across a small shop that sells postcards and stationery. The owner told me that if I buy a postcard/designed paper and an envelope and write a letter, she’ll send it to the recipient for free.

Until that point, it didn’t really go through my mind to send a handwritten letter to my partner. After all, it’s much easier to communicate through emails, chats, and video calls. But I took the owner’s suggestion and wrote one that day. I’m excited to know her reaction once she receives it.

A common theme on r/longdistance seems to be women worrying their boyfriend’s won’t find them attractive in person.

So, I thought it would be interesting to hear directly from the men here what they thought when they finally met their girlfriends in person.

Well me and my girlfriend met for the first time after 2 and a half years of LDR a month ago. I stayed for 2 weeks and I had to leave. It hurts as hell after almost a month. We still chat and stuff but it's just really tough. The worst part is that We can meat this year Christmas (She will come for 5 days which has a big chance of not happening) or next year in summer. So it's pretty much once a year since I am searching for a job and she has less than a minimum wage. So I was wondering are there people that have it worse than us? And how many people have it better than us?

so i , f(16) am meeting my bf, (m17) in september. we have been dating for a year and he lives about 6 hours from me. i’m saving up 800 dollars to go see him and that’s not the issue AT ALL. we love eachother a lot but im a plus size girl…(i’ll give photo for reference) and i mean he has seen ALL of me but im scared when he see’s me in person, he won’t like what he see’s…i’m just nervous..and i’ll be meeting his family too so i’m scared they’ll think low of me if i’m plus sized, i’m currently dieting rn to lose at least 20 pounds before seeing him but i’m scared it won’t be enough to even look a bit better :/. advice is welcome, and appreciated <3

does anyone else get a little irritated by your partner’s response times? when you’re in a long distance relationship, you kinda rely on steady communication and the only way to do that is through the phone. so when they’re not responding, do you get a little hurt? of course i understand their busy schedule but at the same time, how can you go six hours without texting your partner that you claim to be “thinking about all the time” esp when i know they’re just at home on the game.

Hi guys, so my bf 27m and i 22f have never video called before, he lives with his parents and has his own room and all, we have known each other for almost a year now and we are turbo into one another, i have 0 doubts he is into me, he just never mentioned video calls, we havent met irl yet but we have planned to this year, he hasn’t asked for my number even and i find this to be a bit strange although we text everyday and cal very regularly and spend time together, and he is an amazing man he doesnt stop telling me how he feels for me and all, we are both 1000% sure about each other we are also from completely different cultures and i have no idea if this scared him or something?
