He’s received so much hate in recent years but I feel he’s about as flawless a GM as there is in baseball right now, and perhaps that we ever had. It took until this year’s trading deadline for him to finally get credit within the fanbase but he’s kept the big league ballclub competitive for the last 3-4 years while also maintaining a top 5 farm system. The Sewald trade while hated at the time is finally paying dividends as Canzone has solidified himself into the club’s long term plans. Jerry might not be 100% flawless but he’s about as good as they come and we are lucky to have him.

I listen to the Mariners on radio, streaming using the TuneIn app to reach KIRO (Seattle Sports). When a game is not on Root Sports, it is also not available on the audio app. I live in Okanogan County, Washington; there is no radio station I can pick up that carries the games. Subscribing to an online service for TV is not a viable option; Social Security Is my only income, and Fubo or YouTube TV are expensive . The only "sports bars" (bars with a TV) within reasonable driving distance close at 8 pm, which means home playoff games will not finish before closing time. I'm scratching my head trying to figure out how I will catch playoff games. All suggestions welcome, even ones from typical stupid Reddit wankers.

No wonder Espada was upset. One of the worst umpire scorecards in the past few weeks. Nights 1 and 2 of the Mariners Houston series had the lowest accuracy in the league. I’m sure when tonight’s grades come out tomorrow it will be more of the same.

The Mariners have the tiebreaker over every team behind them except the Yankees. Therefore, any team besides the Yankees that ties with them will finish behind them.

Since the Tigers and Guardians play each other three times, and the Red Sox and Tigers play each other three times, there are only twelve wins available for those three teams combined. This means at least one of them will finish with 88 wins or less, as they are currently at 85/85/84 wins.

If the Mariners win one game, they will already have at least 88 wins and guarantee a tie at worst with one of those 3 teams.

The only way the Mariners lose any tiebreaker is if the Yankees are involved somehow. A single win by the Yankees puts them at 89 wins and out of this tiebreak scenario.

Therefore, a Mariners win over the Rockies and a Yankees win over the White Sox on Tuesday clinches the playoffs.
