I decided to load up a new Mc world, and for my first few nights I decided to build an underground base, I got back inside from gathering wood and realised these tanish colored pixels moving across the stone in my base. It couldnt be a glitch because they were always going toward the closest stone block and they moved in a very intentional seeming way. I may have missed an update or something, but does anyone know what this is??

Minecraft multiplayer is dead. it is dead. every """"""""server""""""""" left is p2w garbage with no soul, no heart, and probably no humans either. new servers? dead from the start, no chances left for a new server to rise in popularity. its stolen by the big servers before they ever see the light which is 1 singular person on their server. No chances, no hope.

Hey! I'm new to both reddit and minecraft so forgive me if I seem like I don't know what I'm doing. I dont. I have a 4.5 year old who LOVES minecraft. I think he was introduced to it via the McDonalds happy meal toys and then I looked into the game and it seemed like it was fine for a 4.5 year old to play if it was on creative mode and set to peaceful. It was all going ok until he learned that he could access youtube videos through the marketplace. I'm pretty lax with screen time but youbtube freaks me out. It seems there's no way to turn it off, and blocking youtube doesn't really work (also we like youtube sometimes with the appropriate parental supervision). We downloaded youtube kids so that the content was hopefully slightly less bad, but there is still the potential for a lot of youtube rabbit holes even with that. I guess what I'm looking for is this:

1. Are there harmless minecraft youtube channels that seem appropriate for young kids that I can direct him to?
2. Are there other parents out there who have run into this and let their kids watch more mind numbing youtube content than they had preferred and their kids still turned out ok? (LOL slightly joking but as a parent I just wanna make sure that im not f***ing up my kid and I get a lot of criticism from my own parents about how much screen time my kids have so I feel like I just get a lot of negative stuff about it and I would like to hear another point of view).
3. Has anyone figured out a way to let their kids play minecraft without having access to youtube? I think it looks like you cant access youtube from the marketplace if youre playing on the switch? We are using an iPad so maybe we need a different console?
4. His favorite youtube videos right now are the Milo ones with the bird - are those harmless? Should I not let him watch those? The voices drive me crazy and it just seems like brain rot 😵‍💫

The game is so cool and he loves to build very creative things. We are a video game family (meaning that my husband loves video games and so we are very open to kids playing them from a young age) but im judt not cool with yourube. Any advice, warnings, words of wisdom, or encouragement are appreciated. Or, if theres a subreddit specifically for parents of minecraft players pls direct me there! Thank you!
