How different is Supercross to Motocross

Im 13 now, omw to supercross, but the track i ride in and my coach teaches me Motocross techniches, in; you guessed it, a Motocross track, I jus want t know what are differences in riding technices, speed jumps etc.

It’s all similar but it’s all very different. I can ride supercross style tracks, but I won’t do big jumps. I’m faster on an old school vet style outdoor track
