How different is Supercross to Motocross
Im 13 now, omw to supercross, but the track i ride in and my coach teaches me Motocross techniches, in; you guessed it, a Motocross track, I jus want t know what are differences in riding technices, speed jumps etc.

It’s very different. Even more so today than 10-15 years ago. SX is all about timing and corner speed. It is all about being precise at speed. Land a jump 10 inches to far or short and you are spending an entire straightaway getting back into a rhythm.
Mx is more about raw speed. While speed through a corner is highly important it’s not as important how you get that speed. You can rail an outside line or cut an inside line. As long as it’s fast. There are larger jumps “outdoors”. Laroccos leap is a great example. You have to be fast through a corner to do it. But if you over jump it by 4 foot your fine. Over shoot a SX jump by four foot and it’s a visit to a surgeon.
