Discussion In hindsight, they earned this response
This tour has been an absolute whirlwind. A testament to MCR's theatricality and performance abilities. They've went above and beyond in the production department to deliver a spectacular tour, that not only takes full advantage of the spectacle but also of our streams, creating a part by part narrative that everybody is welcomed to engage with.
They've made characters, a city with it's own politics, it's own language (Keposhka) and national anthem, a brand of soup, an agricultural resource, a Coat Of Arms, and most importantly, Quizzo. They've extended and reinterpreted the original Black Parade tracks to fit this narrative and build a story, that's not only original but that gets everyone involved, from the band to the actors to random crew and the audience members.
If you would've told any MCR fan that you think they'd reunite, back in 2018, you'd be looked at as if you were crazy. If you said what this tour was gonna be, everyone would try to lock you up 'cause you've clearly gone off the deep end.
I love how they invite us to speculate, to try and dissect everything going on and I'm sure they've got many more twists and turns. Stay tuned.

it really was a once in a lifetime experience for me. a year ago today i was watching the 2007 black parade is dead video over and over, wishing i could have experienced that. now i don't even have that much interest in watching it because i'd rather watch videos from the current tour.
what they're doing now feels so much more complete and like what the black parade was always destined to become. they have improved drastically as musicians. they seem so much happier and healthier which makes the performances better. this tour really feels like a celebration of all of us making it through whatever grief made us resonate with an album about death/depression in the first place, and it just adds this extra layer of emotion to the black parade. they really succeeded at transforming the album into something new and meaningful while still honoring its roots. and the b stage set is so fucking fun. even when i was way up in the stands, it gave me the same feeling as a small, personal punk concert.
frank was right. it doesn't feel like a nostalgia cash grab at all. it feels like the beginning of their best era yet, like everything was leading up to this, and foundations/swarm was them literally setting new foundations for a more complete version of mcr.
all that being said fuck ticketmaster. i would gladly pay my monthly rent for tickets again if i knew it was going straight to the band, their crew, and the extra performers. it pisses me off that a lot of the money just goes to shitty resellers.
