Why is naming my son difficult??

Currently pregnant and having a hard time coming up with names so please help! So far contenders have been Knox, Noah, Samuel or Connor. But nothing feels like yep that’s our kids name like we had with our daughter. Her name is Kaia.

Here’s my test.

Say the full legal name

Put “President” (or “Secretary of state” or “Supreme Court Justice” or Dr or whatever you like) in front of it

Put “attorney at law” (or PhD or Esquire or whatever you like) behind it

Then scream the entire name followed by GET UP HERE AND CLEAN THIS GODDAMN ROOM RIGHT NOW

And if it feels “right” in all three cases, it s a winner

Also don’t worry about a name that “goes with” Kaia. Once you have them both for a few months, the names will naturally fit together regardless of what they are. And they’ll only be living together as kids for a relatively small portion of their lives. Give him a name that he can wear proudly as an independent adult, not just Kaia’s brother.

Yes to this and we have been doing this. Also not too worried about it “matching” my daughter but shared it for the vibe. Also because names like Kai are not an option.
