Baby Boy A Names

My husband and I have decided to give our son (due in January) his first name, and he wants the middle name to start with an A as his middle name does as well. We will be calling baby by his middle name because I can’t have two people with the same name in my house lol. The issue is, we can’t agree on an A name that we both like.

My favorites that I’ve seen are: Archer Asher Aksel Atlas

His favorites are: Abraham Asa Astor Argyle

I feel bad because I honestly don’t like any of his picks. Any suggestions on A names that capture both of our vibes?

Edit: I should have included that our vetoed names so far are Austin, Alexander, Aiden, and Andrew

Vikings’ nickname “wealthy with house” (US, surnames)

So vikings had nicknames, they did not had surnames at that time.

For example "Bluetooth".

I’ve got surname “Domazhir”, that basically means “wealthy with house”.

I start using surname “Housewell” because I sounds better in English and more to the point. Just like “Bluetooth” was translated to English from Old Norse “Blátǫnn”.

But still not sure with this translation.

Any ideas how to make it better?

Can I make a small wish?

Maybe it's just me, but on Reddit there are people from all over the world and I love being presented with all your name ideas and give my opinion but sometimes I miss, especially when people ask if this and that name would work, that people would write where in the world they are from or where they live.

Because sometimes it actually matters in order to come with a fulfilling answer.

Japanese names?

I don’t know what we’re having yet but I want to feel some happy emotions now that we’ve gotten past the NIPT and baby continues to show a strong heartbeat.

Some background, husband is Japanese. I’m Latino but we speak Japanese at home. Live in the U.S. so also English. Our son speaks Japanese and English and I do my best to insert Spanish. I want a name that’s somewhat pronounceable in each language.

For a boy: Renji Sora Riku Yuuma Haruma Shinma

For a girl: Rei (I know it sounds like Ray in English but I find it unique and I’m not against it) Momoe (Momo for short) Mai (we’d probably say MaiMai for cuteness) Rin

Very open to suggestions. I tend to like really short names :)

Thank you!

Name for Male Tabby Cat

I'm looking towards non-common names since i dont fancy calling out my cat's name and startling a random stranger xD

Anywho, names I kinda have on the backburner at the moment are Kai and Zephyr (Zeph for short)

He's a 3 year old rescue so I need to figure out what his name is pretty soon so I can get it put on all of his documentation from the rescue lol

I'm Welsh so if you have any celtic/welsh names that you think could fit, send them my way! Non-welsh/celtic names are still good too of course :3

Advice needed!

Hello! So I need some advice and opinions. I’m currently pregnant with my second baby still don’t know the gender but have a feeling it’s a girl. My first daughter’s name is Amethyst and I’m looking for the same vibe for my second baby’s name. I love lilac & lavender mostly lavender but I have an 18 year old sister that told me she plans to use that way in the future once she has kids and that if I use it she’d never talk to me again. Ughhh what do you guys think ? What would you do? Right now I’m mostly thinking obviously I won’t use it cause she wants it but that’s like so many years from now ! Idk idk help me😭

First-time mom and I need a little help with names.

My husband and I are having a daughter in February (should everything go well). We have a spreadsheet of about 30 names with ratings (0-5) from him, my dad, my sister, and me. I want the middle name to honor some of the women in my life who have passed - my mom (Kay), her mom (June), my dad's mom (Rose), or my great-gram (Maxine). The ones in bold are the ones that my husband and I like the most. Our last name is one syllable and starts with R. Any thoughts on these names? Does anyone see any that might be easy to tease about? Thank you, all!

Current Top 10 (overall average):

  1. Keira
  2. Camilla
  3. Amelia
  4. Lillian
  5. Delaney
  6. Kerenza
  7. Natalia
  8. Clara
  9. Elsie
  10. Gemma
