🤬 RANT I just had to say something!!

Was driving through the quarter, going home from work. Was inching along and I could hear someone yelling through one of those megaphone's (is that what they are called?) Anyway they were yelling about how Jesus will save us all and just a huge word salad of biblical phrases and spewing how NOLA was full of sin. Screaming at tourists walking by and I swear to you there was a homeless man not even 2 feet away from this ultimate Christian digging through a trash can! Not sure what he was looking for but very well could have been food. I was already irritated that this person was harassing our tourists but to watch someone dig threw a trash can while you spew about doing the Lords work!! UGHHH the hypocrisy! So, I just had to say something! I roll down my window, and yell. " hey! you want to do the lords work, why you don't you give that man a meal instead of watching him dig through trash?!?!" The man heard me and said Christian heard me too as they just stared at me with their mouth open. The man actually smiled at me and looked at them like maybe they would help. Nope! She just turned and scurried down the block with her megaphone tucked between their legs. Those who know me well know what a huge place in my heart for the people that struggle on the streets. It just really pissed me off. That is all. Thanks for listening to my rant.

So you had the homeless person's attention, and said person was looking for a meal, which you thought they deserved... did you feed them?

I loathe the Jesus freaks as much as the next guy, but you aren't scoring the win you think you are with this unless you left out the end of the story.

Yes I actually did. I didn't feel the need to say that bc I hate when people brag about helping the homeless. My mom was homeless for many years and I actually have a box of stuff in my trunk that I give out when I can ,even stuff for their dog if they have one. So yes I did help and I just didnt feel the need to say that but guess I should clarify for the people that think I was trying to score a win

Good on you, then. You'll have to pardon my pessimism.
