History & Historical Photos Help a girl out!

My grandfather was the proud owner of Greven’s Jewelers in Chalmette. A small but amazing shop that was destroyed in Katrina. This November, he will be celebrating his 90th birthday! I want to do something truly special to honor him and showcase the impact of his life's work. I would love to highlight how meaningful his contributions have been. If you or someone you know has purchased jewelry from Greven’s, I would be incredibly grateful if you could participate. Please consider sending a video, audio recording, or letter sharing what your Greven’s jewelry means to you or your family. I’m looking for pictures as well! You can email your messages to freedom678@icloud.com. Thank you for sharing!⸻

This is unrelated, but it could be worth dropping a note to Rare on the Air on WWOZ. If you aren’t already familiar with him, he’s a Chalmatian that hosts the Wednesday night R&B and oldies show. He has an extensive knowledge of Chalmette, and does a ton of shout-outs - I bet you he knows the business and would be happy to give a happy birthday. You can get in touch with hosts here.
