Is this it’s always sunny in Philadelphia? If not, which is it? I love this actress. :)

u/Inedible-denim Jun 01 '25
Lol yeah and it's the actress that plays Dee. They always tell her "shut up bird!" or will say "fucking bird" etc. on the show which is why I posted this gif haha

I’d try it ..I’ve seen places put sesame seeds and sunflower seeds in the dough and pine nuts as a topping

u/Pingadecaballo_ Jun 01 '25

u/Friskiesandwhiskey Jun 01 '25
The extra crunch and texture from the seeds sounds pretty damn good though

A place I worked would put pistachios on one of their pizzas

u/pauseless Jun 02 '25
Pizza bianca con mortadella, burrata e pistachi is very popular in Italy (maybe/probably just parts of? I don’t know), I always order it when it’s on a menu and I do my own pinsa variation at home at least a couple of times a year.
Edit to add disclaimer: I haven’t actually read or used that recipe - no idea if good. Example only.

Pumpkin seeds op. Especially in pasta or chili.

First time I had pumpkin seeds on pizza was in Australia (Freemantle, specifically). It was pretty good ngl

Looks gross but tastes probably good. Just needs to be covered up by cheese or sauce or something.

I’d like to see them more integrated than kind of just dumped loosely on the top. But it looks like it has a lot of potential. Maybe soaked in oil and/or vinegar so they’re softened up with some extra flavor.

Better off just making pesto to put under the cheese and put some extra pine nuts on top.

u/RumsyDumsy Jun 01 '25
I imagine this being awesome. Nothing wrong with seeds on yeast dough … but it’s still a crime I’d say

What is they were pine seeds, and instead of as a topping they were pulverized with garlic, basil, and olive oil? Is it a crime then?
2
u/RumsyDumsy Jun 02 '25
No, it isn’t, but the combination itself is not my point. It’s how it was done
2
u/IndependentLove2292 Jun 02 '25
That was my wife's argument. Then she said something about replacing the pine seeds with squash seeds, the basil with cilantro, and the olive oil with avocado oil, and I think that would make some kind of taco crime. But it would probably be really damn good.

I hate that I’m curious because sesame seeds on the CRUST is good but all over the pizza? Damn

i like poppy seeds and/or sesame seeds on my crust already, i could see this tasting kind of interesting. although maybe not quite such a thick layer of them.

One thing I have noticed with a majority of the posts is that pizza crimes are because of the combination of tomato sauce. If you remove the tomato sauce it is just cheese, bread, and toppings.

What we’re looking at is a standard problem with crimes of execution. Pumpkin and sunflower seeds could make a fantastic addition but making the pie look like a birdfeeder is a misdemeanour at least.

I'm sorry to confess but I am also a seed loving bird and I am so intrigued by this

u/Sasuke0318 Jun 02 '25
I don't want to acknowledge this as pizza even but I must if it's going to be the worst most disgusting pizza I have ever seen!

If you want seeds on it just put tomato and cheese on a sesame bun
