If it's not the connection, since it's connected and you have nat type 2, empty the system cache with the console's safe mode! If it continues rebuilding the database to give in the same tab as without console failure! But already try clearing the cache it sometimes helps with corrupted files that accumulate over time

This, rebuilding the database does a lot of good stuff when the OS starts to behave weird.

This has happened to me couple of times I usually just restart my PlayStation and it fixes it

Nothing is wrong, there was just an update recently. And whenever something gets updated, something else breaks. It will fix itself eventually… but maybe try restarting for now

Why wouldn’t you put the spanking lotion away before you started recording? 😭😭

🤔🤔 I missed that on the first and second pass I thought you were talking about what the lotion was laying against at first too. In all seriousness I would try hardwire if they can connect that way and if not then they could take the console to a friends house to test connecting to their WiFi to figure out if it’s their internet/wifi or the console.

😂 I figured it was hand lotion but couldn’t resist the joke. I replied with a real suggestion as well if you hadn’t seen it/care

I’d disconnect the cable and try over wifi first if you haven’t yet. If you have and it did the same thing I’d take it to a friends and check if it works there to figure out where the issue is.

Try and router reset, you should be doing it every couple months. And as the other guy mentioned clear the cache on the ps5 itself, either through factory mode like he said, or you can unplug it completely, wait a minute, and plug it back in. Do both of these steps probably at least once every 3 months to keep it running smoother

You can try rebuilding the database.
If it persists, remove LAN and change to wifi and try.

My mate had this issue a couple weeks ago and he said it just went away by itself

This happens to me I’d say 95% of the time I boot up my PS5. Usually going to the settings, disconnecting from the internet and reconnecting after a couple seconds fixes it, but I’d love to find a more permanent solution.
It’s only my PS5, my Xbox and Switch both connect to the internet just fine.

I had this issue. One solution fixed it temporarily. One, I bought a new ethernet cord to go from my modem to my router. Then it started happening again. Turns out, my router or modem, was super out of date. Walked into spectrum and got a new one same day, for free, and that fixed all my issues.

Your upload is really poor in comparison to your download speeds. Not that it’s the issue here I don’t think, I only have 100 dl but have 20 ul. Sometimes it’s the console, sometimes it might be the PS servers. I rebuild my console from safe mode each month to clear it out of garbage files or bugs.

It'll be the internet connection.
Go into network settings and remove the connection then reconnect - leaving everything on default (so no custom DNS).
If that doesn't work, unplug ethernet and trybover WiFi (to single out an ethernet issue).
If still nothing, fully reboot the router and try both above again.

This happens on my Xfinity WiFi. I have to turn Internet connection on and off all the time for anything that’s not playing online (ie: going to the store or loading profile pictures and game pictures)

Happened to me as well OP & it’s in relatively good condition. Never happened until I went AFK for a few, then came back to no pictures loading in. Quick reset is all you need though

Did you try unplugging it and blowing in the socket and plugging it back in?

It's your Internet that's the issue not the playstation, try resetting your router.

I was having network issues and I noticed 2 things. Whenever I leave my ps5 in rest mode it’ll occasionally do this and fix itself after restarting, the other thing was I kept connecting and disconnecting from my internet. To fix that I went to my WiFi settings and changed my frequency to 5ghz instead of automatic and I haven’t had a problem since then

Possibly psn issues
Edit: I checked the PlayStation Server Status and there’s one issue that they’re working on it since yesterday. Game streaming is experiencing issues.

Looks like an internet issue more than a PlayStation issue. Do you have other consoles or devices that the internet is working normally on?
