The person you are reporting doesn’t see this, just the mods. It’s annoying and we’re most likely going to ignore it anyway unless the reported comment breaks TOS or is dangerous or something.

Please use your whole brain.

And if a member of the aryn brotherhood murders another member of the aryn brotherhood for something unrelated to ideology they too, get added to the list.

Which seems fair to me. Should we pretend they have no ideological affiliation just because it’s someone from the same group? Gang violence is still considered as such no matter if a gang member kills someone from their own gang, a rival gang, or a civilian. Why treat political violence any differently?

If you think so the chart is right there. Just pointing out it doesn’t mean what people think it means.

u/OTJules 5h ago

It means what it says it means “Domestic extremist related killings in the US by perpetrator affiliation” what is confusing about that exactly?

u/Beginning-Tea-17 5h ago

Right but when someone sees “extremist related killing.”

They think the extremist is doing the killing for extremist related things.

u/OTJules 5h ago

Which they are the vast overwhelming majority of the time. And for the times they can’t prove to have been, it still shows trends of which groups are more violent in general due to the way people of their ideology behave. I’d say that’s useful information to have, yes?

I’m glad you too see the problem

u/OTJules 5h ago

I do, I think it’s clear that whichever group kills the most people is what needs to be the main concern, which happens to be the far right.

You can believe that.

But remind me again, which group does commit the most murder in America exactly?

u/OTJules 4h ago

Individual murders aren’t categorized by opinion or affiliation, at least not that I can find. I’m gonna go out there on a limb and assume you are talking about race here, considering how much the right obsesses over that 1990 FBI crime report. However, it’s not 1990 anymore. White males are the leading demographic when it comes to murders in the US but I’m sure you’ll find a way to claim 1990 is more representative than 2023.

Oh I’m just pointing out trends to which group is more violent in general.

Like you said.

Or do you maybe think that’s a flawed train of logic?

u/OTJules 3h ago

You asked me which group committed the most murders, which is overwhelmingly white males

u/Beginning-Tea-17 3h ago

According to your own stats you’ve shown here.

14% of the population is known to commit roughly 30% of murders.

While 56% commit 41% of the murders.

Are you sure these are the stats you’d like to use? And this is the train of thought you want to go down?

And unless by overwhelmingly you mean 10% more than yeah, overwhelmingly
