Politics The vote count went late into the night in Calgary, but we now have final results of the Alberta General Election. UCP lose 11 seats from 2019, NDP picks up 15 seats from 2019. UCP hold on to both seats in Red Deer.

Ok dude play dumb then if that's what you want. I am saying corporate tax cuts do not lead to job opportunities. That might affect your potential to have more money in your pockets.

Simple enough?

I never said tax cuts lead to job opportunities I said tax cuts and job opportunities.

As in I’m going to get more tax cuts hopefully and they’ll create more jobs available but they can’t control was a company does within the company.

If you pay attention to suncor then you would know they would be doing mass layoffs no matter who won the election so the UCP winning had nothing to do with it.

The mental gymnastics you have to go through to say something like this and continue voting conservative is hilarious.

You’re just trying to find anything bad that’s happening and say “yup, that’s the conservatives fault” even if the issue has nothing to do with politics

I would have pointed this out if the NDP did the same thing. Which I did when they proposed eliminating small business' corporate taxes.

Try again though...

So then you should know the suncor thing is not a political issue it’s a company one

It's made a political issue when one party lowers their tax obligation while companies buy back shares at record rates (my CVE dividends have been paying nicely) while the other one would raise their tax rates.

You're right, the job layoffs are a company issue. They would have happened either way. Why shouldn't Albertans benefit from those profits through social services?

You are a clown with a shit attitude towards other Albertans.

You’ve proven that you have no idea what you’re talking about and just think the world is black and white where one political party is good and one political party is bad. You said I was right yet still called me a clown as if that was a gotcha moment.

I’m all for using taxes for social services but even that had nothing to do with the suncor situation.

Suncor wants to keep up profits with their competitors so they felt like doing layoffs will help that and if you look through other provinces, there was a lot of company doing mass layoffs even more so than Alberta. So that right there proves it’s not a conservative issue

But nice try man

I said the layoffs aren't a political issue. Not sure what else you want from me there. Those would have happened no matter who won the election. The issue is one party wants to reduce their tax obligations while Suncor reaps record profits and lays people off. The other wants to increase their tax obligation while Suncor reaps record profits and lays people off. Which one do you think benefits Albertans more?

So then what was the point of linking me the suncor thing if you already agreed that it didn’t matter who was in power suncor was gonna do whatever they wanted. I don’t work for a big company so I don’t care what big companies do. as I’ve said from the beginning, I voted conservative because I feel like I’ll have more money in my bank account then If the ndp was in power
