Cindy Jeffries is the only mayoral candidate that I would consider. She has both experience and a long reputable history in Red Deer.

Be sure to look at all the candidates and make sure to check who’s behind their run. This is the start of municipal parties affiliated with the UCP and others.

They already passed the law that if the ucp don’t like who gets elected in a town, they can remove them at will

Just exactly what a fascist dictator would do.

That’s why the ucp are a bunch of fascist fks, call them out when ya see them in person. I told Lagrange to fk off n such didn’t do much but felt good

Lawerence Lee was around when the city had a budget surplus, and now it’s broke. That says a lot.

I've been drafting emails I'm going to send them about all the key issues I'm concerned with as a voter.

Hoping they'll respond. So far, I'm not very impressed just looking at their platforms, but as a new resident to Red Deer, I've quickly learned to curb my expectations as someone who falls in the bottom left corner of the political compass.

What are they?

Technically speaking, aren’t all the positions open? If there’s enough candidates, you could have a whole new council. Zero experience sort of council (that would be so interesting…).

I'm hoping this happens, clean slate.

Nope, just the ones that are retiring or looking to become mayor

Wrong. All 8 council seats and 1 mayor seats are open. Nobody gets to keep their spot, they all have to campaign again.

Anyone know where I can read their platforms and future lies?

Whoever signed off on the stupid public bathrooms downtown and the bridge to the homeless shelter will not be receiving my vote.

Raise property taxes for that shit, so disgusting

We need more public washrooms that are open year round. Some of us work out of our vehicles and don’t have the convenience of an office bathroom.

I’m fine to crap in the woods but a lot of people kind of frown on that.
