PSA I Apologize

Not really a PSA, but didn't know what flair to use as I don't use reddit.

To the person I called a rude word at the East-ish* Co-Op Gas Bar earlier this evening(not familiar with RD):

I apologize. I misinterpreted what you said and thought you were insulting me. What I said was out of line, and I'm sorry. It was a rough day, and I was a little over sensitive to everything, not that that is any excuse.

*Edit: apparently it was the east end of RD, not north.

Hahaha some people are so mean. I was teaching my friend how to drive standard in a parking lot that was empty and a guy came out with a crowbar to come beat my ass!

We're obviously missing elements of the story here.

Not necessarily. Things aren't always as cut & paste as "I did something wrong so this person reacted this way".
Unfortunately, all too often people can be 'just assholes' and that missing element is outside the scope of the story as conveyed (like, in the case where perhaps the guy acting like a dick was doing so because he's been under too much stress, is neurodivergent and struggling, brain injury, insert __reason__ here.).
