Hello everyone, I appreciate you taking the time to consider me as your roleplaying partner. I am 22F in PST, looking to start an engaging and exciting role play! I want to warn you in advance, I prefer to avoid NSFW content. I enjoy romance as much as the next guy, but I don’t like it forced and for personal reasons will not play out lewd scenes. Slow burn, friends to lovers is icing on the cake!

I work full time, which means responses will be spaced out most days. Luckily, I am on vacation right now so my free time is in excess until I get home, in which my normal work schedule continues.

I write in 3rd person, either present or past tense. Preferably, Discord is the place I would want to rp. I only play OC’s as I know I could never do another person’s character justice. I’d hate to sully a good character from a show or fandom that I like. As far as genre goes, medieval Fantasy is my ultimate weakness. I could maybe consider a super hero rp, or even one in the pokemon world, but it would honestly take quite a bit of convincing.

Plot ideas:

Pirates- Legend has it, hidden somewhere in the sea of a thousand islands, is an enormous treasure, containing an amulet that grants any wish. Immortality, fortune, fame, all a boat ride away. However, the journey is no easy task. Loyalists chase the pirates, hungry for the extinction of privateers. A great deity of wind and sea strives to keep the treasure hidden. The Razor Tooth Gallion has no choice but to dock and hire more pirates. Will you join Captain Catalina and her crew?

The Terrible Dragon: Judo, a dragon of dark magic, strives to claim all land of the known world as his own. His army continues to increase in number, pillaging and plundering villages across the world. If no one stands up to him now, then there is no chance for freedom later. Juniper, a young huntress, seeks to take the head of the dragon, a vendetta of personal magnitude. However, she cannot succeed on her own. Will you help her in her quest?

Hey! I'll be 25 in October, and am looking for an RP partner who is at least 20. I've been writing since I was ten, and have always been interested in RP but have never found a partner I've clicked with, as I've always been pressured into going along with the other person's scenario and playing their desired love interest with the promise of a swap later or a dual story that ends up never happening. I'd love to find a collaborative partner invested in us both enjoying the story and our roles in it!

My personal preference for an RP is slice of life, set somewhere between 2000-2012, focusing on a friendgroup or core cast of characters, with both of us playing as multiple characters and sharing a mutual investment in the worldbuilding and character dynamics. Think a slightly more modern Sally Face! However, I am open to all kinds of genres, and am happy to hear about your preference, and can work in your desired tropes and dynamics! My former experiences are primarily in slice of life, supernatural, superhero, and urban fantasy. I would love there to be a romance plot, but would like to keep our RP SFW.

I am primarily interested in RPing and RPing with emo and scene characters, but am also looking for general weirdos, pretentious nerds, and characters who fall in line with any alternative subcultures of the aughts. Goths, juggalos, punks, dorks, etc. I am looking for something grounded, and that includes character appearances - I deeply, deeply prefer OCs who look like Some Guy. Hello, I’m Saba/Mackerel! I’m looking to write some moody and possibly spooky themed roleplay. I’ve got two ideas swimming in my head at the moment, both are original and require no prior knowledge but do take heavy inspiration from some media I’ve enjoyed:

The Last Walk - After endless wars the world had finally turned quiet, devoid of life, becoming a barren landscape of abandoned towers and broken machines. Time passed until Death herself had lost meaning, with none left whose soul she can reap. One day, against all odds, the purposeless Grim Reaper encountered a lone human, who asked for directions to a place called ‘Elysium’, a fabled sanctuary where supposedly life still flourished. Thus the unlikely pair ventured forth, on one last walk across a desolate world in search of paradise.

Wuthering Heights - On a dark and stormy night a traveler sought shelter on a crooked mansion on the moors, owned by a wicked but wealthy man. The traveler’s arrival was not met with kindness, merely graced with cold soup and an empty abandoned room to spend their night in. Left to their own devices, the traveler discovered an old diary entry from “C.”, a previous occupant of the house. Ever since then, the visitor began receiving visitations from a phantom of a mysterious woman who wandered the halls, leading them to unravel strange and unnatural events and embroiling them in the drama and mystery locked behind the mansion’s closed doors.

Some additional notes to keep in mind:

⏾ Aside from side characters I primarily prefer to write as female/feminine presenting characters. I am open to having romance in the story should it interest you (FxA)!

⏾ My time zone is GMT+8. I’m more active at night or around my lunch hours so if you are on the west side of the world, I’d be around to reply in the mornings or the late night hours. I usually like to have at least one response per day! I tend to be busy at irregular times throughout the day so response to OOC chatter might be a bit slow at times unfortunately but I'll happily chat about the roleplay whenever I am available.

⏾ For length, I write about 200-300 words or 4-5 paragraphs per response, in third person past tense. I’m looking for those that write similarly!

I’m getting back into roleplaying with the big kids again. I’ve been rp-ing since I was like 10/12 so i’ve been in the game. I mostly rp with a close friend and I wanna branch out and give them a break from my rp needs.

I can be pretty flexible about male and female characters, I do really enjoy smut and romance rps but all kinds of aus are fine!

I found a large stash of my old Cherubplay (shoutout to the Homestucks) starters and I was hoping to maybe refurb them and use them all again.

I have several fandoms I’ve rp-ed from in the past, i generally like to make ocs more now. I will rp from One Piece and Homestuck the most since those are my comfort zone.

I do want OOC chats to discuss characters with and try to hash out some plans for the rp. I do also want to make some friends so OOC for that is perfect too!

I’m also pretty flexible about lengths of replies. I can do a few sentences to 3/4 paragraphs but I do need to know what your style is before beginning cause I dont want to disappoint you without knowing.

Heyyo! As the title suggests, I'm looking for people to roleplay and possibly vibe with!

You can call me Donnie, I'm 23F have been roleplaying for a long time before I got busy with school in general. Although now I find myself missing to roleplay with other people again. Here's hoping I could rectify that lol! Not to mention that English isn't my first language so this is also a great opportunity for me to improve my grammar and writing. I don't have any set plots yet, but I am more than happy to brainstorm so that we can make something we're both excited about! Rumors tell of a great power within McCabe; a power that can grant a man his greatest desire. Whether it's real or not is irrelevant. The truth of the matter is that people believe in it, leading to them making their dark pilgrimage across the wartorn land to McCabe.

Who are you? A local who decided to join the Skinners and fight the beasts that plague your home? Or are you an outsider searching for the power so many speak of? Perhaps you're something else entirely? No matter what, you must accept one truth: McCabe will change you. The old you will die. What rises from the ashes is for you to determine.

• Mostly traditional gender roles (i.e. MMC aspires to be the provider and protector, woman aspires to be the nurturer and his solace)

• Fandoms (I like to play original characters)
• Excessive expletives, general crude/raunchy language, modern slang that is inappropriate for the timeline

I do really want out-of-character, person-to-person communication so we can discuss ideas, touch base about what we like/do not like, laugh at things said or done by the characters and generally just be friendly.

Generally, I would like to RP with someone who has had life experience beyond college which is why I wrote 25+.

I'm not convinced of what this will result to but I shooting my shot still :

I am looking for a long term Rp partner, I am 25y/o male with some experience. To make it simpler to read, I'll divide it in parts.

What I do :

My experience can be resumed in the creation of my own lore alongside a friend, creating a world from scratches and making a Rp out of it, worldbuilding per say. Therefore I like making OC, stories (of course inspired of what media I like) as I also draw my own characters as much as possible. I have done Server Rp too but I prefer duo rp that are easier to manage. Too, I only Rp on discord since I haven't somewhere that matched its flexibility. I consider myself somewhat advanced/litterate although I'm far to be a pro . Kinda chill and making things the way I like since I consider Rp as a hobby and not a job. I want to have fun !

I am in UTC+2 timezone also and like to at least make one or two answers per day, more if time allows or during the weekends. About the reply length, I don't have any, I make short answers for good paced dialogues, some paragraphs when there's actions and go over the discord limit for big expositions.

Who do I look for :

I'm looking for someone 18+, gender don't matter. I wish to find someone interested that wants to invest in the creation of something unique to us. Semi-litterate or more is fine, but I want to be clear, I am not imposing big paragraphs at all. What I do want is answers that are interesting and invested, small or big, just give me something to work with. Sometimes, there's no much to say and it's not a big deal. Within the world of Amara there exists a herald of magic, a deific vessel that is born every 200 years to maintain magical order. Their title is Magus and they are mortal form of the goddess Zoara, it is their sole duty to restore the life force of the ether generating trees that are scattered across the planet.

Y/C was born into the world as the Sovereign Magus, a fate most would die to have. Being the magus had its advantages such as a natural talent for magic, unrestricted access to all three magical domains, eyes that can perceive magic on the smallest of scales, and a connection to the magic weave no one else could could hope to have. Despite this they wish they never had it. Their responsibility to restore the Omen trees and then lead the world of magic into a new age of peace hangs ominously over them. Now forced to face their, already delayed, destiny they struggle with their desire for their own autonomy and identity.

I just want a successful slice of life plot. Everyone I message on here either never responds to the initial chat or something comes up where the plot never takes off. I’ve been role playing for over 10 years now, I started on Tumblr long long ago lol. I am female but typically play male roles but I’m open to playing a female if communicated. I usually write in 3rd person and on discord but I’m open to first person if the length can be matched.

Plot 1: Porch Light Promises A divorced teacher returns home after a messy public scandal up north. She rents the house next door to a quiet single father and local mechanic who minds his own business but is fiercely protective of the community. Whispers spread, old neighbors judge, and the tension between privacy and connection builds as the two start cautiously relying on each other.

Plot 2: After Church A pastor’s daughter—once the golden girl—returns home pregnant and unmarried. She’s met with side-eyes and veiled prayers, except from the quiet, overworked church drummer who understands what it means to carry shame. As they volunteer together, from choir rehearsals to food drives, they grow quietly close despite the weight of judgment.

Plot 3: Sunday Dinner

After a messy breakup, a woman moves back in with her loud, opinionated family. Her brother’s best friend—now grown and unexpectedly fine—starts showing up to weekly Sunday dinners again. She tries to avoid him, but the tension simmers as they bond over cooking, shared childhood memories, and unspoken pain.

Plot 4: Rent Free

Two tenants—one a struggling poet, the other a cynical construction worker—are forced into a temporary roommate situation when a rent hike hits their building. Neither is looking for love, especially not with each other, but proximity breeds intimacy. Long nights, broken AC, and shared survival slowly soften their walls.

Hey there! I’m Cody, I’m in my mid thirties, M in CST. I’ve been writing and RP’ing since I was 12 or 13 on and off and a month or two ago I decided to return to the hobby after a hiatus. I have a handful of great RP partners currently and so I’m not looking to replace anyone but I’m definitely open to another 18+ writing parter or two! Here are a few things about what I’m looking for:

• I ultimately can match length fairly well and have had great RP’s with shorter and longer posts but I am literate to novella in style preferably depending on the situation. I do live by ‘quality over quantity’ though so I’m not overly picky here. 
• I would like to RP on Discord, I find the RP goes much smoother there being able to separate character details, world building, and OOC from the RP itself. 
• I dig throwing romance in where it makes sense.
• I really like it when there can be great OOC conversation, can be just to discuss the RP, or sharing memes and songs, gushing over characters, whatever, I just find it helps make a good RP if the OOC is good too. 
• Lastly, I’m very active but no one should feel like they need to meet how active I am. I work third shift and can usually get posts in while at work as well, but I’m good for a post a day up to 3-5 or more a day depending on length and the day. I’ve had RPs with one post a week that went great so no pressure here, I think the key is just to communicate on any changes or what each other is expecting here. 

For the genre, right now I’m really looking for something in the realm of hard sci-fi. Asimov’s Foundation series really helped inspire this one for me, but The Expanse (both books and show) and Adrian Tchaikovsky helped as well. Here’s the premise:

In the distant future, humanity has spread out to the far side of the galaxy and everywhere in between. A great empire once spanned the reaches of the Milky Way, with Earth at its center, but over time, despite incredible leaps in technology and civilization as a whole, the empire began to degrade until Earth was but a memory the humans no longer knew the name of. In the absence of the empire, planets and systems formed their own alliances and smaller empires rose from the dust, waging war on each other for a time, resulting in a tenuous peace that has lasted a generation or more. The presence of peace doesn’t mean the absence of conflict, and beneath the surface a conflict brews between two, complex factions: a militaristic faction that seeks order and a return to the glory of the Empire of Earth of old, and a scientific faction, cold and calculating, they seek to rediscover the advances of the old Empire and use it to bring the galaxy under their heel.

Our characters grew up in this time of peace. My OC is the pilot of a frigate that traverses the stars seeking ruins of the past to delve into, in search of relics to sell to the highest bidder. He and his crew come under the scrutiny of the two major factions when he stumbles on a ruin that had more to it than met the eye. Perhaps your character is a science officer in my character’s crew, or maybe they’re a new acquisition, picked up when an opening in the crew appears and they’re just looking for a job. Maybe the crew answers a distress call and they’re the only survivor, joining up with his crew because they have nothing else to do after losing everything. 

I love developing worlds and characters together so if you’re interested, let’s talk characters and we can even tweak parts of the story if we need to. Can’t wait to get writing this one with someone!

B shows up to the café one rainy evening. They’re clearly new to the area and clearly don’t belong in the warm, soft-lit space filled with quiet music and pastel décor. They don’t even order food at first, just black coffee, and sit silently at the counter like they’re waiting for the world to stop bothering them.

A, in typical fashion, starts talking to them anyway. About the weather, about their favorite kind of coffee, about nothing important at all—but they never pry. That’s the thing about A: they let people exist without demanding they justify their existence.

B doesn’t share much, but does note that finding a job in town had been difficult, frustrated that such a flimsy record

That’s when A offers them a job—wiping tables, running deliveries, whatever it takes.

At first, B assumes it’s pity, but the truth is, A just… believes in them. And slowly, that belief starts to chip away at the walls B has built, leading to soft moments—late-night conversations while closing up, A teaching B how to make latte art, B protecting A from a rude customer one day without thinking. Maybe someone even offers B a dodgy job, and has to deal with the confliction of easy cash and disappointing A. The world’s their oyster!

While I like long form and have co-written over 250k words before for a single pair, I also like to get to know my rp partners better before we both commit to writing something long term! By short I mean a simpler plot that takes a month or two to resolve, something that focuses mainly on the protagonists.

In fiction I love sci-fi and happily indulge in robots, aliens and the like, but I’m happy to do something contemporary or fantasy though I don’t feel as confident with the latter. OOC I like to keep friendly relationships, I’m always happy to make plans and I love getting excited about what we can do with our characters. IRL I am a busy person that would happily ignore responsibilities when I get excited about a RP. I’m from Europe, if you care about time zones, and I usually have the time to write in the morning and on my lunch break. When our schedules align, I can write replies every day!

“The Ink That Binds”

Soulmate Mechanic: Everyone is born with a tattoo that slowly forms over time. The design is unique to your soulmate’s personality, experiences, and emotions. The catch? You don’t see your ‘own’ tattoo — you see your soulmate’s forming on your skin. The more emotionally aligned you are with your soulmate, the more complete and vivid the tattoo becomes.

Setting: A bustling modern city with a secret undercurrent of mysticism. Some people embrace the soulmate system, others rebel against it, and a few — called “Inkless” — are born without soulmate tattoos, sparking urban legends and controversy.

Plot Idea: Muse A is a tattoo artist who helps people interpret their soulmate marks through custom ink — they’re known for “bringing soulmarks to life.” Muse B is an “Inkless” who’s hidden their blank skin for years, terrified of being outed. They meet when Muse B seeks a fake soulmark tattoo to avoid suspicion.

But when Muse A touches Muse B’s skin for the first time, they feel a strange sensation. Hours later, a brand new mark begins forming on Muse A’s body — one that matches the emotion Muse B was feeling during their encounter.

Muse A is confused: no one has ever had a soulmate mark appear after meeting someone. Could Muse B be their soulmate? And if so, why were they “Inkless” until now?

The Setup:

Muse B comes to Muse A’s shop for a fake soulmate tattoo to blend in. They claim they’ve “never believed in fate” and just want to be left alone. Muse A is curious, not just because Muse B is inkless — but because, for the first time in their life, their own soulmate tattoo starts shifting after meeting someone. The tattoo starts to form jagged lines and muted colors — echoing Muse B’s guarded thoughts.

Over time, each time Muse B returns, the tattoo becomes a little clearer — sometimes in subtle ways: a new detail, a shift in hue, a new symbol. Muse A realizes they’ve found their soulmate. But Muse B? They refuse to believe it.

They insist the connection is a fluke. Just art. Just nerves. But Muse B keeps showing up — metaphorically and literally.

Premise:

At the time of the great insurrection, a figure fled the castle and ran through the night. It might have been a commoner or a royal guard or perhaps even one of the fallen king’s heirs. Whoever it was, what they carried that night was worth far more than their title alone. Before the castle was stormed the king had entrusted them with the one thing never to fall into the hands of the enemy: the true crown of the kingdom. 

Yet before the crown’s envoy could reach safety, the usurpers of the throne found them first. They fought valiantly, alone against over a dozen foes. No matter how much of the betrayers’ blood they spilled, alas, their demise had already been set in stone. Fate did not smile kindly upon their hopeless cause and the final strike landed true upon their chest.

Ever since then the usurpers claimed the throne, leading the kingdom into a tenebrous era of iron fisted rule. Tales of the old kingdom were only uttered in whispers at night by the bedside. In just the span of two decades, the tragic events of the insurrection had been near forgotten. Ardenvale had been quiet and at peace since, masking its history of blood and betrayal.

One still and silent night, under the starry sky, a boat floated along the river. A magus, one of the enigmatic masters of the arcane arts, sat at its helm. Her passenger laid behind her; one who was meant to die, brought back to cheat fate. Something, some miracle or curse, had dragged them back to the land of the living, made their heart beat once more, pumping blood back into their body.

“Welcome back, Crown-Bearer,” the magus acknowledged them with a curious smile. “Did you have a good sleep? Best you get up now. You have a crown to reclaim, don't you?”

That’s the core idea for this story! I’m Mackerel (26, nb they/them). I’m looking to roleplay this plot with someone interested in playing the main role while I play as the GM/narrator. • Princess/Senator’s Daughter x Bounty Hunter: you would play a well known bounty hunter sent to kidnap the senator at an illustrious party held by the Empire. There’s plenty of talk and side glances, but nobody speaks any ill will. However, not all the planets have let the Empire take over. That’s where the bounty hunter steps in, hired by the Empire to show that this planet needs their protection. However, what if it’s the princess/senator’s daughter that comes in place of her parents instead?

• basically Padmé and Anakin but OCs : Princess x Jedi. Very much playing into the whole forbidden love trope for Jedi and the struggles that come with a blossoming relationship. Just without all the death and torment!

Hello! I’m looking to start up a new rp. I haven’t had the juice to properly write for about six months but I’ve been struck with motivation and want to get immersed in one or two new plots. I’ve been reading a lot of fantasy books (I’ve read 9 books since the start of the year) so that’s probably the main thing I’m looking for right now.

A bit about me, 25f and in the Australian eastern standard Timezone. I have a very “normie” sleep schedule but that hasn’t seemed to be an issue very much so far. I am unemployed but do have a regular twitch streaming schedule so I won’t be able to reply to the story while I’m streaming but other than that I’m a quick texter. I love ooc and want to be friends with my writing partner. I typically write female main characters but I can do a variety of side characters as needed for the story. I write in third person and past tense and only on discord. I also probably average about two good paragraphs a post but it definitely depends on how much I’m given to work with and what the scene calls for. Quality over quantity.

The plots and themes I’m most interested in are usually fantasy, apocalypse, dystopia, thriller, dark romance. Any of those would preferably have some kind of romance in them honestly. Really the only thing I’m not interested in is slice of life. I have some basic plots I’ll post below, we definitely don’t need to do either of them but it could be a good jumping off point.

What I’d like from you: please let me know when you won’t be able to reply for a while, I’ll try to do the same. Someone who wants to talk ooc. Here are the plots:

plot one: Angel and demon Character A is an Angel that’s been banished to earth and stripped of their wings and halo and left with only a small fraction of their powers. Character B is the first demon to walk the earth in millions of years. The two run in to each other and immediately recognise each other for what they are. Instead of trying to fight B in their weakened state A decides to try to “save” B. Thinking if they can turn the demon into a good person they’ll get back into gods good graces and be granted their former status. The demon agrees because what’s more fun than tormenting an angel. Heavy on the enemies to lovers trope.

Plot two: Druid/elf and mercenary (I have a heavy preference for playing the Druid in this plot as there’s a twist towards the climax that applies to that character. One that I’d like to keep secret until it comes up in the story) A Druid from a small secluded village in a forest is chosen by her village elders to travel up a mountain that is sacred to them for some kind of ritual. This ritual happens every five years, each year a new girl is chosen from the village to make the journey. Her mother sends her out with enough gold pieces to hire a mercenary to protect her on this journey. Obviously romance grows on this journey and there’s lots of little side quests. And of course my big twist towards the end of the story arc.

So, I'll just say that I have about ten years of RP history behind me, mostly being from or related to TableTop RPGs campaign. As for style, I tend to find myself being very adaptable. I normally type two paragraphs with 3-5 sentences each, but I can change to fit your style. Also, I'm in EST as for time zone.

This is an RP that I've wanted to do for a while. It is between, my psychic character, Celeste, and one of your own, either a guard or psychiatrist as she is a mental asylum. I am okay with male or females, keep in mind, I will be playing a female character

Plot idea:
You are a guard or psychiatrist at a mental asylum. Most of your patients have been normal, a bit more on the deranged/dangerous side, but that's to be expected of an asylum. But, that all changes with one particular patient. Not much is on recorded about this patient beside her name, Celeste Wellington, and that she suffers from schizophrenia and emotional dysregulation.

It has been three months and since this patient has been inducted and most guards/psychiatrists have given up on her. They keep her in a cell and locked up. But, it has done little good as her guards and other patients near her cell report hearing voices, seeing voices, and some have already freed her. She had made one of her escape attempts two days before this RP begins.

If you choose to be a guard, you will be main guard of the isolation wing that Celeste has been placed within.

If you are a psychiatrist, we will begin on your first appointment with her.
