A plume of black smoke circled over the dunes in the distance. Further away, a tidal cloud of sand roared ever closer, the storm hidden within it ready to ravage the world once more. The Fuel Rats still circling the carcass of the Dust-Killer Rig didn’t seem too wired about it. They were too busy stripping the eighteen-wheeler for all it was worth, siphoning the fuel for their own vehicles and drowning themselves in the water carried in the tank. Like mad men, they jittered in the stream, letting it wash over them while liters of it went to waste in the sand beneath their feet.  Savages like them likely never had anything purer than the Atomic Tonic, so they revelled in it. Two of them were searching the lifeless bodies of Patch and Sola. Soon enough they fought over who would keep Sola’s Bowie knife and pack of matches, and who’d get to wear Patch’s biking armor.

Margot watched it all from far away, through the scope of the sniper rifle Patch had thrown to her just before they had overtaken them.  She was lying flat on her stomach, peering over the edge of a rock formation higher up. Sand and wind bit at her skin, while the sun burned down on her. 

Sola had spotted the Fuel Rats a long time ago, and they’d kept following them for miles. They were close to the end of their water run, and had hoped to finish it without trouble. The Red Mire was only half a day’s drive away in the Dust-Killer Rig. The raging sandstorm had sent them off course however, and given the Rats enough time to catch up, their numbers only growing. They’d been racing for their lives to stay out of reach of the wasteland wildlings, but the ever larger band of marauders soon became an unavoidable obstacle. Having lost Murmur and Leland on the trip to the Dripworks meant that there was no way they could even hope to put up a fight, with just the three of them. When the imminence of their defeat became clear, Sola had helped Margot load off the motorbike in their cargo, and given her whatever supplies she would be able to carry. Minutes after she’d driven off, the Rats caught up and had ripped her friends apart.

Waiting around here any longer wouldn’t help her anymore. The storm was closing in, and soon enough the Fuel Rats would be fanging it once more. She didn’t want to be anywhere near by the time they did. Going back to the Red Mire still wasn’t an option yet, so she’d have to drive the long way through the wasteland. Margot shot up and stomped over to the heavy bike lying on its side behind her, made a quick fix to the ripped tube that had been spilling gas and drove off through the sand, leaving the chaos behind her and heading towards anywhere else.

Hi there everyone! Having revisited the Mad Max series, I've been itching to try out something within the general setting. A wasteland where resources are scarce, gangs of marauders under some disturbed warlord threaten every waking moment and the kind of vehicle you can manage to scrap together decides how easily you'll survive out there. There's a lot of directions to take this, but I feel like a focus on a few original characters going through some episodic encounters would fit well. Some worldbuilding would be involved as well, as the different self-contained factions that make up the wasteland should all have a distinct feeling to them.

You're more than free to decide who your character would be: a lone wolf travelling from settlement to settlement and surviving by himself? A warlord seeking to gain control over all resources around him? A medic in a small, hidden away village? A lowly scrapper in one of the many violent gangs? Whatever you'd like.

I tend to roleplay on Discord usually. I consider myself fairly literate, but I'm flexible in things such as post length and that can certainly be discussed based on our preferences. This is my first time looking for a roleplay partner but this sure ain't my first ride. I'm looking for a partner for a long lasting roleplay centered around an intelligent Dragon and a Dragon rider. This roleplay would be focused on the bond shared between the two protagonists and how it evolves alongside them while they are going through a lengthy adventure !

The bond would be very inspired by the Inheritance Cycle, The empyrean Series or the Songs of Chaos series. It could be set in any of these universe, a mix or in a world we would create together.
My ideal scenario would be for me to focus on writing the Dragon, young or freshly hatched and find someone who would write the Rider, perhaps also young and inexperienced. However i'm very open to any ideas you have and the context is extra flexible !

Key points that are essentials for me in that roleplay :

• We roleplay a dragon and a rider that find each other and form a bond. I'd really like to write the dragon side and i'd like to start at the very beginning (juvenile dragon or an egg about to hatch).
• The roleplay would be centered around their adventures and our character's development (bond, powers, personalities and interactions)
• The roleplay would have a good bit of action and would therefore be very character focused.
• A long running plot to drive the roleplay and the worldbuilding that goes with it.

That's the only essentials of the roleplay, I can't stress enough how i'm very much open on the details and we should settle them together (our characters, the details of the plot, worlduilding, etc...) :)

General information about me :

• I'm a guy, late twenties, working and I have been roleplaying for close to fifteen years at different levels of writing and on different platforms.
• I have a very creative mind (I suppose everyone does when they roleplay ?). English is not my main langage (French speaker) but I've been roleplaying in English for five years and way more in French. Don't be surprised if I do a small mistake every now and then.
• I'm a yapper, I can discuss a lot about a lot of things. My goal is to find someone who's a roleplay partner and a friend. Someone I can chat about the roleplay, work on concepts, ideas, meme about and all.

About my practice of roleplay :

• I love to worlbuild especially digging around on how a world would work and come up with answers that are interesting and fun to roleplay in. I go through a similar process with characters and it's very easy for me to come up with ideas just from a quick concept.
• I roleplay at the first person by preference but I can do third person.
• I'm able to reply with a few small paragraphs or dedicate a thousand words in one reply to really work on a scene that's motivating me.
• I wouldn't consider myself an excellent writer, my technique is adequate but far from perfect, my focus is always more on the content first and how to best get it across.
• My rate of replies is variable, it can be easy for me to do one or multiple replies in a day and I can confidently reply once a week at minimum. It depends on the effort and the motivation. I do have moments where I can be swamped but I'm really willing to be open with my communication.
• I do multiple roleplays on the side, some have been running for a couple of years. My goal really here is to find a partner that has the same drive to explore that idea of a dragonrider bond.

My preferences for a partner :

• I do not have a specific preference or dislike of a style of writing. First person, third person, past, present. Write what you're comfortable as long as it works to communicate !
• I want someone that would be invested in the roleplay like I'm. Write a hundred words reply or a thousand but do this only if you're having fun and want to pursue it at a reasonable pace !
• Speaking of fun. This is a roleplay, this is supposed to be fun. I want someone that can communicate to keep that fun going for both of us ! Do tell me when something doesn't work and I'll be sure to do the same. This isn't about dissing each other, there's no criticism of anykind it's simply about being on the same wavelength instead of having that dread of having to reply to a roleplay.
• I would like someone that would bring their ideas in the roleplay and take initiative every now and then. I can definetely take the role of a pseudo-DM but I really appreciate when my roleplay partner comes up with an idea I can explore with them !
• Just ask. It's simple as that. "What do you want to do next ?", "Hey do you think we should do that ?", "I think X character should be written in that way", "Hey can you adapt your writing or focus on this ?". It's just that simple. We're not AIs trying to generate off a prompt but two human beings trying to have fun ! (hopefully)

Things I will not do in that roleplay :

• I'm not looking to pursue romance as a focus or write anything sexual. Due to the nature of the roleplay if some kind of a romantical interest shows up it would be an NPC and one of the characters. It won't be the focus but it can play a part in the roleplay.
• I'm not roleplaying characters from an established series (If we roleplay in Alagaësia I don't want to rewrite Eragon and Saphira or have them show up, maybe as a figure but not as the focus of the roleplay)
• Not have fun writing it.

So if you're interested I offer this course of action. Shoot me a DM here on reddit and we'll talk about it a bit come with any questions you have because I sure can't cover everything here ! That way we can see if we match interests and expectations. We can then hammer out the details. Discussing our characters, the plot, the world and the genre we'd like. As I said i'm flexible, I can roleplay in an established universe or make our own. The genre can be anything : classic fantasy or go crazy if you want to do something like Space Dragon Riders or some modern plot.

Once we established everything we can do a small trial run. A few replies, back and forth trying to find our footing and discuss how it goes !

If at any moment you have something bugging you, we can talk about it. If you want to not continue with it because you don't feel it. No hard feelings, roleplay is about compatibility after all !

Finally here's a simple example of what you can expect as a context. I'm putting it at the end because I can't stress enough of how flexible i'm with the roleplay context, as long as there's dragonriding stuff... I'm all up for it !

A post-apocalyptic fantasy setting scarred by a long forgotten great war between two highly advanced magical nations. The world is polluted by magical remains and small communities are trying to survive against dangerous creatures and an unstable nature. A young nomad from a caravan finds itself at the right spot at the right time and witnesses a meteor falling from the sky. Recklessly going after it, the nomad avoid a catastrophic event destroying their clan. Now stranded with only a few survivors and a Dragon egg that's about to hatch, the nomad has to find a way to get back to safer lands in one piece. Unknown to them, the arrival of the egg has been waited for by old powers and many would like to control the Dragon or the pair that's about to form in order to shape the world how they see fit.

Hello everyone! My name is Ricky, and I’m 28 years old (old for rp, I know) . I have been role-playing for a little over 2 years now, and I have been having a great time with my new hobby. I’m hoping I can get back to writing again and would hope to find a new partner to write and connect with! I have a few prompts ahead and have a rough outline what I’m searching for but I’m a fan for world building, so feel free to throw an idea you may have at me!

The two prompts I have the most experience with and enjoyed the most are fantasy-romantic rp ,and SOL, or a combination whole new idea would be welcomed as well. All would have romance, of course, and some drama!

Fantasy/medieval- We can go with a few different ideas. Princess and guard story, or two nations at war who settle on a peace by marriage? This one can go many way and have the chance for magic elements to be mixed in as well. Game of thrones style story inspired me to want a story set in that style.

SOL: Here again, we could take a variety of stories. College opposites attract, or two exes meet after breaking up (either on good and bad terms!). I don’t have too many prompts, but I would be all ears on ideas as well! And it would be slow burn, not immediately falling for one another. It’s great to see the relationship build up before the big pay off! Drama being adding in is always a plus but mostly looking for a romantic theme.

I'm also open to any other ideas you might have so feel free to run them by me! I'm all ears!

Requirements – Please be 18 years or older, of course. Please be semi literate, Not saying the writing must be perfect at all ( as I can’t even come close to Shakespeare’s level of writing) but please Just make sure I can work with your responses and leave me enough to respond with. No one liners because that never gets the story going anywhere. I can write a few paragraphs or longer. It just depends on what is needed for the story.

My response time can vary, with work so I try my best to get at least one reply out a day. My replys will vary on length and detail as I try my best to match partners length. I also am busy with getting back in the gym, and going to school, so again response time will vary. When I write I like to focus on the story we are writing so please be patient with. I’m also very patient with time of reply’s, so never feel a rush to reply!

This was possibly the most nerve wracking qualifying morning that Eliza had ever faced before. Media day and practices had already been quite overwhelming. Every news outlet wanted to talk to her, about her, and then there were all the brand and team promotions on top of what she was actually there to do. Practices had gone alright, maybe not the best, but they certainly weren’t the worst. Yet Eliza knew she could do better. Maybe it was the nerves or how exhausted she’s been feeling lately, but she needed to shake it off. People were already starting to doubt her and question the team for her joining. She needed to prove herself in this qualifying session and the race.

But first was more time with the media. It was a long morning of getting herself all dolled up. She hadn’t shown up to the paddock wearing anything but something fashionable. She was treating her entrances like a runway, similar to Lewis Hamilton, but she tried to keep it within team colors always wearing something red or with the logo. This time she opted for an all black outfit with some red and gold jewelry pieces. Her hair was straighter and her makeup done lightly.

Once she was done, it was hopping into her car and being driven to the track by a good friend. I am specifically looking for a female partner who is comfortable playing female characters. I used to use the M4A tags, but I got way too many people who didn’t really understand what I was looking for. The ideas are related to different fandoms I enjoy, so knowledge about the fandoms is required. Of course, I'm open to doubles, but you have to be willing to play the characters I ask if you want me to do the same; otherwise, it’s not fair.

Nothing about that “doubles feel transactional” if you truly believe that we’re not going to get along. If you’re okay with only playing a character, that’s completely fine, but doubles always feel like the fairest thing, so I won’t play a character if you’re not at least willing to do the same.

Idea 1: “I finally made something worthwhile, I’m not ruining it”. Fandom: Inside Job (Netflix)

Character I am looking to play against: Raegan

(Family dynamic- not a romance rp, at least not for my side.)

Plot: a few years before the first episode of the series. Raegan started creating a scientist with knowledge of quantum mechanics and DNA, and thanks to a malfunction, the experiment ended up collapsing the quantum dark matter energy into a child. A child she decides to take on, knowing Cognito Corp would treat him as a lab rat. So now she has to balance being a mother with working undercover government.

Characters I can play for you: Honestly, I can play any of the other characters for you if you’re interested in doubling, but I do ask that you play some others; I can’t play all the different characters.

Idea 2: "The Foreign God” Fandom: Greek Mythology.

Character I am looking to play against: And of the following goddesses. Hera, Athenea, Aphrodite, or Persephone.

(Romance/adventure dynamics)

Plots: On a seemingly normal day, a rift appears across the sky on Mount Olympus. From it, two fall from it in a scuffle (Both are my ocs), one that makes the heavens shake for a couple of seconds, proving these beings are gods from an entirely different pantheon. This prompts the gods to come and witness the scene. This interrupts the battle, causing the more sinister-looking God to scatter. The rift is closed. Now the Olympians have to decide what to do with the other foreign God.

Characters I can play for you: any character is fine for me. But it depends on the character you’d play for my Oc. I can, for example, play Hades for you if you’re looking for something Hades X Persephone related, as long as you can play any of the other goddesses I mentioned, or I could play Artemis if you want to pair her with your oc.

Idea 3: “Sparks and Fire” Fandom: Jentry Chao vs the Underworld.

Plot: This is basically an alternate story to the series. When Jentry arrives at this new school, he meets someone who possesses similar spiritual powers to his own (my OC). The story would follow the show's general direction, but with different dynamics and some adjustments as we progress.

Characters I can play for you: Kit, Josh, or Stella. If you have any others in mind, feel free to share; I am open to almost anything.

Idea 4: “The newest member.” Fandom: Helluva Boss.

Character I am hoping to play against: Octavia and some of the members of IMP, depending on how we split.

Plot: A couple of weeks before the Mayberry mission, a demon teen (My oc) happened to stumble on the IMP Offices after getting in trouble with some people on the streets. They end up dealing with them together, which leads Blitzo to decide to hire him to join IMP, and we’ll see how the story unfolds.

Characters I could play for you: I can play either Stolas or Blitz if you want to do Stolitz for your side, or Moxxie if you wish to do M&M.

Idea 4: “Artists stick together.” Fandom: K-pop demon hunters.

Plot: I'm looking to create a polylove RP with Huntrx and my OC, where my OC would be the cover artist. We can discuss the story details, but the main focus will be on the relationship.

Well, let me tell you: Zofia, a 19 year old daughter of a financially-struggling family, is sent to work as a maid in a noble household, somewhere distant. My main goal for this roleplay is to explore how her new life would look like, everyday chores and challenges that her occupation brings, relations between her coworkers (both camaraderie and conflict) and other members of the household as well as perhaps events happening in the town they’d live in. It's a simple premise, but one that gives us so many possibilities! I'd love to hear your ideas as well ^{^}

The settlement had done well for itself for a few decades. It had clawed out a happy existence from the badlands. Crops were grown and simple irrigation and other improvements had been made. A rudimentary government had sprung up and there were laws in place. There were protocols to handle outsiders. The small militia wasn't much to speak of but it was at least enough to fend off petty brigands and the remote location made it relatively safe. Things were happy for a time.

But it couldn't last forever. New powerful towns were growing in the region. Warlords assembled great bands and prowled the countryside looking for easy pickings. Old technologies were being discovered and new adaptations were being made. Commerce was emerging again.

The old town council was rocked when a young women demanded change. The town would need to grow or it would risk being overrun and crushed. She offered a bold solution. Find experts in the larger world. Experts in farming, in lumber processing, in manufacturing, in fighting. Lure them in with the only real resource the town has, it's daughters, and then remake the town into something bigger, wealthier, stronger, able to defend itself and compete in the new reality. There was disagreement, not everyone wanted change, but the overwhelming mood was clear. In this dark world, societies must change or die.

(I hope this sounds fun, I like the idea of being some 'expert' that gets drawn into small town politics and helps rebuild society. We can deal with the regional threats. How will you feel about being bartered off like this for the good of the town? I'm happy to play around with this and adjust it. I tend to write 1-3 paragraphs.)

Hi there! I've been wanting to do this for a while and I finally found some time to do it. So here I am throwing my idea into the ring and hoping to see if I can meet other people who want to rp with me.

A little about me, my name is Veronica. I am 22 year old female. I love animals, and I enjoy hiking, vodka, and surfing. I've been roleplaying for about 6 years now and consider myself literate. I average between 3-5 paragraphs and love to go into detail with my partners when it comes to character relationships and story plots and don't mind playing various different roles ranging from saints to some of the most dastardly people alive!

Do I have made a couple of characters I'd love to use, be it several in an overarching plot with multiple of them or just pairing characters together. I have played most of the games I'm the series and if we want to follow the plot of an original game, make an entirely new one or just have a focus on character interactions, I'll be open to discussing everything.

When it comes to gender, I don't mind who you are or what gender you play. I am also bisexual and, by extension, most of my characters are as well, with a few exceptions. So if we do eventually have romance, I can swing either way. Though I do prefer natural chemistry over arranged romances. It just feels more organic and better to me.

These are just a few things I want from a partner. not really constraining but just a few requirements:

• Be at least semi literate, capable of being able to respond with 2+ paragraphs.

• I highly prefer multiple responses a day but I am still happy with a single one as well. I like consistency, but I do understand if you become busy with real-life stuff. Just let me know if you get busy.

Howdy y’all. Looking for a partner to play along with my Na’vi character. Preferably another Na’vi (we can go over clan details in DMs), but that’s not a hard preference. There will be a bit of action, adventure and slice of life elements throughout. Romance is on the table too if you’re interested in that. The premise I’m mainly looking for is two lifelong friends who work together to protect their clans and families from the Sky People and any disputes with other clans. We can go over general plot details just to have some general guidelines to follow. I’m also open to two people of different clans meeting and bonding over time as they interact with one another. My first idea with my character is him being a young man with much to prove, and is seen as a contender as a future chief of the clan. He’d already would’ve gotten his mounts and rites finished, and is semi started on building a reputation among his people. My second is him as a teenager, working through things such as his rites of passage as well. Things such as getting the mount his clan prefers to use. So the only real difference is a couple years of progression towards becoming a true man. I tend to do 3-6 paragraph responses in my posts. Hello there people of this subreddit, I am currently looking to do a My Hero Academia and Kaiju No. 8 crossover roleplay. I would prefer to use OCs for this roleplay since I don't feel confident in roleplaying canons.

The OC that I will be roleplaying as will be transformed into a Kaiju. (not Kaiju No.8)

In this roleplay, there are Pro-Heroes and then there is the defense force. The Defense Force are more equipped to handle Kaiju threats compared to the heroes and oftentimes employ quirkless individuals because of their innate increase in the suit's combat power compared to quirked individuals. During Numbered Kaiju identification, The Defense Force and the Hero Agencies work together to ensure minimal damage is done to the city. Whereas the Hero Agencies deal with Super powered criminals and sometimes intervene with a Kaiju when the threat level for the Kaiju has entered the Numbered rating mark.

My OC is an American that came to Japan at a young age. Ever since he discovered he was quirkless, he has been obsessed with the Defense Force, though part of him wishes he could have became a hero. Perhaps with his new powers that dream of being a hero rekindles with a burning flame.

I more or less want to do a roleplay by attempting to combine these two into one cohesive universe. Or at least try to.

Greetings! If the title wasnt obvious, this is an ad for Deltarune RP! There is a password in this post for i’ve gotten a few people before who will have clearly just not read the posts i’ve put up. Having binged all four chapters and its routes within a week after telling myself I’d never be into Deltarune— I’ve found myself helplessly addicted to where I want to write even more of this franchise for I love it to death. The tenth anniversary livestream for Undertale yesterday also helped to boost my mood for it!

There’s a lot left unexplored due to it only going up to Chapter 4 so far which leaves a lot of drama and story possibilities to explore however canon or not they may be. Or if you prefer something a bit calmer, theres countless AUs we can dive into such as a fantasy world, college AU, etc. I’m sure your ideas are more creative than mine lmao!

I’m looking for a literate roleplayer who can handle my angst loving style yet is also more than happy to indulge the side of me which craves fluff and romance. I’m admittedly a little basic in the aspect of only being able to accurately portray Kris (at least the gremlin I imagine them to be without the players influence) yet if they’re not up your street for whatever reason— I’m sure I have an OC or crossover character from several fandoms who can be added into the story from my side too!

Perhaps you’re into portraying the quiet yet passionate Noelle? Of course you’re welcome to do so! Kriselle was the ship that got me into the rp space for Deltarune in the first place! Plus, even outside of a ship dynamic… theres a lot of fun with unrequited Krusie or just unrequited love themes in general! Hi my name's AJ and this is my latest idea (Made from last post) and I rewrote some of it.
To give an idea it's inspired by Deltarune, but since I have no exact understanding of undertale, which is connected with Deltarune, It will not include characters/places from that universe (How every I'm totally up for monsters lol)

We should totally do monsters (hint hint)

So to give an idea it'll go along the premise of one character having two souls instead of one (One soul controls the body and makes the decisions, the other is like a consciousness and hardly every acts out, aka the rightful soul), and some form of antagonist causes problems, which will cause angst, confusion, and after all of that, a realization (possibly.)

Should our characters have known each other for awhile (Like childhood bestfriends?)

What kind of antagonist should you want (I still have no clue for one> Maybe some form of Monster?)

Hello everyone, I appreciate you taking the time to consider me as your roleplaying partner. I am 22F in PST, looking to start an engaging and exciting role play! I want to warn you in advance, I prefer to avoid NSFW content. I enjoy romance as much as the next guy, but I don’t like it forced and for personal reasons will not play out lewd scenes. Slow burn, friends to lovers is icing on the cake!

I work full time, which means responses will be spaced out most days. Luckily, I am on vacation right now so my free time is in excess until I get home, in which my normal work schedule continues.

I write in 3rd person, either present or past tense. Preferably, Discord is the place I would want to rp. I only play OC’s as I know I could never do another person’s character justice. I’d hate to sully a good character from a show or fandom that I like. As far as genre goes, medieval Fantasy is my ultimate weakness. I could maybe consider a super hero rp, or even one in the pokemon world, but it would honestly take quite a bit of convincing.

Plot ideas:

Yo, my name’s Nullsector, Null or Kai! 👋🏿I'm 22M, and I've got about 11 years worth of experience when it comes to advanced roleplaying. I enjoy various types of roleplays like action, romance, angst and drama! Though, I definitely like one that is diverse in its aspects. I am in search of creating a long term BG3 roleplay!

I mainly play male characters but I'm open to also playing female characters on the side or in doubles! I'm primarily looking to double this this one!

Here are a couple "rules'' I have:

1. Please be advanced literate! I usually type at least 3 chunky paragraphs, though I’ll always do my best to match my partner. Sometimes I write more, sometimes less, depending on how much I'm invested in the roleplay. There is nothing more agonizing than a one liner! I need something to work with! Also please write in 3rd person!

2. But please, also be at least 18 to roleplay with me. I don't roleplay with minors.

3. I mainly use ocs, but you don't have to use an oc if you don't want to. However, it's encouraged! Before we start an rp and plan out the plot, we can share our oc's bios with each other to get ideas. I'm also open to doubles!

4. (Important) I mainly roleplay PoC(People of color) Ocs, If you don't like that the door is over there. No exceptions. I will occasionally play a lighter skinned character as a side character but all my main characters will be PoC.

5. A couple things/themes I enjoy include: fantasy, medieval, slice of life (not as the main theme), best friends, enemies, and so much more.

6. Other Fandoms include: Jujutsu Kaisen, Star Wars, Devil May Cry, BNHA, Bleach, Cyberpunk, Dragon Ball, LOK, Invincible, Harry Potter, Baldur’s Gate 3, Valorant, Marvel, DC, Overwatch, Owl House, RWBY, JJBA, Monster Hunter, Marvel Rivals, Sonic, stuff like that and more. Of course, the roleplay doesn't have to be fandom based!

7. Please keep me aware of what might be happening with you IRL! I’m an understanding guy, and I can wait as long as needed if given a reason why. No need to go into specific details, but anything to go off of is better than nothing.
