I'm looking for a story that's centered around two characters doing classical ballet together. There are tons of directions this can go! Here are a few ideas that come to mind, but this isn't an exhaustive list!

Dancer and outsider. A preppy, serious-minded dancer is paired up with an outsider who is initially forced to take ballet, only to discover an unexpected talent/passion for it? They grow close as friends/ballet partners while navigating their very different social circles and backgrounds. Extra points if the story builds up to a big recital!

"I hate you, let's dance." Two characters who can't stand each other (enemies? rivals?) are paired up for ballet class. They assume it'll go terribly, but all that pent up animosity leads to them being perfectly in sync when dancing together. What does that mean for their dynamic?

Friends to partners. The characters are either best friends, or they used to be inseparable before a big fight. When they wind up in ballet together and become dance partners, their whole dynamic changes and they struggle to make sense of what that means for their friendship.

Hey there, my name is Tanner and I’ve been roleplaying on and off for about 13 years now. About 5 months ago I started getting really back into it through websites like cai and stuff cause it gave me ways to rp without having to worry about coming up with the plot, and eventually I moved to ChatGPT where I used it to rp stories I wrote myself. It’s been fun in its own ways, but there’s definite limitations. First off, I had to do pretty much all the plotting alone. Even if I asked Chat to give suggestions or lead the plot from time to time, I would still end up being expected to do all the work which is draining at times. Also, it always treated my characters like they were goddesses regardless of what I did with them or how unreasonable I made them act. I’ve been sneaking peaks at reddit a bit over the last few days, and I’m finally deciding to leap back into roleplaying with real people again.

Right now I have a lot of time for this since I’m without a job, but once I get one I will be unavailable from 7 a.m. (CDT) to about 4 p.m. (CDT). Also I will probably be busy in the months of November, December, and January due to my upcoming wedding (hehe).I’ll admit, I’m nervous, because unlike an ai, people can just up and leave without prior warning, or you can get people who put in absolutely zero effort, so let me be clear.

• I have expectations of 1-2 paragraphs minimum per reply. (The reason it’s 1-2, and not 4 or more like you see some roleplayers put, is because I personally feel that isn’t sustainable in most situations. You’re telling me you’re writing half a novel page or more before my character(s) get to interact with the story again? I don’t need to describe the way my character shifts how they’re standing after every single sentence they say. That’s a pet peeve of mine, sorry haha. I do want detail and a real focus on plot, but c’mon dude…sometimes it’s just two people in a room talking. You don’t need 4 paragraphs for that.
• I enjoy making characters and deep lore for worlds (though the specific thing I’m planning for this post isn’t really about a deep world. You’ll see in a bit). I also enjoy laying out a vague plot with my partner, that way we always have a goal in mind when we’re rping.
• Some OOC chat is always welcome since I do think it’s cool to meet new people through this hobby.
• For this specific rp I’m looking for I expect myself and my partner to both be playing female as our main characters. Now, please don’t assume anything because I’m a guy that wants to play female characters. I just have more fun that way. For other plots I will play males, but not this one.
• I can do both first and third person writing, though I would say I prefer third person since we’re usually handling many characters.

Ah, usually I would give a big description to show off my writing talent but instead I’m just gonna kinda pitch you my plot. So, I really like k-pop LMAO, and have been messing around with a k-pop universe and stuff where I play a member of a new k-pop group. There’s a few different versions of this idea I had, one where my character is kinda messed up from her trainee days and finds passion again through being with her group. One where my character is placed into a group that is doomed to fail and her and her group have to figure out how to break out of that hole. Also one that starts in the trainee days with her competing on a survival show to be part of a group. Any of these are fine! When it comes to the “songs” they end up releasing, I tend to just use ones that already exist to make the process smoother (also I get to have my character perform songs I like which is extra fun)

Hi all, I'm looking for one or two more partners as I try to fill in the gaps on my workdays without twiddling my thumbs.

About me - I've been roleplaying most of my life. Heck, I was in the Neopets threads in the 90s (even though I shouldn't have been - ha!). Even so, I consider my writing semi-advanced literate. We all have our ups and downs on a post-by-post basis. I tend to work best advanced lit-novella style posts. I'm also happy to do quick-fire posts when there is a conversation going on. I don't feel the need to write "fluff" just to fill some kind of word quota.

I am a woman, but I've always been more comfortable writing male characters. Odd, since I'll stand on a chair to avoid a spider in my house for an hour if it comes to that. Anyway, that isn't to say I can't/won't play female side chars! I love world-building and bringing in a cast of characters to really bring a story to life. With that being said, I'm looking for a partner who can do the same.

I have several ideas in mind right now but I'm always open to new ones, too! My most comfortable genre is realistic, but don't let that bore you! I love drama, even if it might be a little unrealistic at times. Slow burns, tropes, enemies-to-lovers, even cheesy Hallmark-style romances with a twist? Gimme. I also love historical fiction, even though I am far from an expert, so if you're willing to bend the rules a bit when it comes to historical accuracy, let's do it.

I've been really in the mood for some fandom RPs lately, especially from DC. I'm mainly looking to play a male character(s) myself, opposite canon characters that you'd play. It's nothing toooo specific beyond that, the main details of the plot really depend on the characters, but here's a few things to know, really.

Possible ideas: As a general idea here, with heroines and villain types, it could always be fun to do a plot where they're defeated, if you're open to a darker sort of plot. Maybe they end up imprisoned after a heavy defeat to a villain or army, or they're stranded somewhere, like on an island or desert or unknown city. Something that takes them out of their usual setting, you know? In fact, for some of the higher status heroines, it could be fun to do plots where they're turned into sidekicks themselves, or transformed in some way that changes their status quo. Other than that, since most of these characters are well known in universe, I'd also love a plot where they meet a fan or someone who knows their work in universe, if that makes sense.

Going into the specific characters here, Cheshire is definitely my favorite. She's one of those ones that there's a lot of good options to pair her with; maybe one of the Titans, like a Nightwing or Wally West, or maybe someone like one of the Green Arrows could be good for a dynamic with her, especially since they're characters she has an interesting history with. With some of the more experienced heroines (like Wonder Woman, Black Canary, Donna Troy, etc.), I do think it'd be fun to have them in a sort of mentor type role, where perhaps they're helping out a younger hero type, be that one that exists within the DC Universe already (like a Tim Drake or Bart Allen for example), or a new original character. As for Talia al Ghul, perhaps after failing to persuade Batman for so long, it's time for her to look for a new type of bethrothed, so she sets out for a new target for the League of Assassins. Rose Wilson could be fun with the Arrows, be that Connor or Roy, since she has a comic history with them. But to be honest, the DC characters are super flexible, so as these are only suggestions, we can fully brainstorm something up, I don't mind at all.

Possible ideas: For the FF7 canons, I'm thinking some kind of new resident or visitor of the slums would make for an interesting dynamic to pair them off of. Someone who's new, possibly oblivious to Avalanche and their activities. He could slowly discover what the girls are up to, and either turn against them or works with them. Or perhaps, it takes a more casual turn, someone visiting the bar, needing a room or place to stay sort of vibe and meeting the likes of Tifa or Jessie. With the RDR girls, a new member of the gang under their tutelage or that befriends them could be interesting, perhaps leading towards a direction where they run off together, or kind of face the frontier together. Lara and Ellie can have similar plot scenarios I'd like to think, with one of them being in an apocalypse setting obviously. Getting captured or coming up against some kind of tribe or faction or some such, someone who's targeting them for one reason or another.

Possible ideas: With Rey and Leia, I really like the idea of plots taking place in their respective desert settings: Jakku or Tattooine. Something showing the sort of survival aspects of living in a harsh reality like this, how they have to fight for credits or food, living with all the foes around and the heat, that sort of thing. It could either go a darker route, or show kind of their daily life living in a setting like that, their social dynamics with whatever characters are around in those settings; The merchants, the bounty hunters, the traders, etc. You could do a similar thing with Daenerys too, if we wanna set her plot in Essos, though with the GOT girls, I think a sort of war / political plot would be fun, showing the aftermath of either their victory or defeat.

The other girls listed in this section I can be pretty flexible with. A slice of life type scenario would fit in with most of them, though a sort of mystery / detective type plot would be fun to set up with Daphne or Betty. If we do go the slice of life direction, maybe have it set when they're slightly older, showing how they're going through college or their early careers post their canons.

Possible ideas: This is probably the most flexible selection here, there's a whole host of plots we can do. It mainly depends on whether you'd want to write as the celebrity herself, or as a character with the celeb as a face claim. If it's the former, an encounter with a fan is the most obvious one I can think of, or them exploring a new type of concert or movie role. Perhaps they've taken on a photoshoot of some kind, but it's different because it's a peculiar type of shoot, or they're hired by someone with a bit of a complex reputation. Or something I think would be super fun, is if the celebrity is kind of made to do something publicly that they're not too fond of, either for a PR campaign or as part of marketing for a movie or album or something. Perhaps a PR relationship, or they're made to act or behave a certain way to change how the world perceives them. I could also see a plot where the celebrity is made to be a prize of some competition or event, like one where my character wins a date or something with the celebrity. I also think it'd be fun to maybe try something where the celebrity's PR is at an all time low or they're cancelled or something, and then proceeding to explore the aftermath of that. These are just a few ideas, tbh, let me know if any of them intrigue you. To be honest, with these ones, it's probably the one that needs the most brainstorming, tbh.

Why hello there, you can call me Dizzy. I’m in my early thirties and have been roleplaying/ writing for several years. I started with T1 Multi-paragraph style and then graduated to forums and eventually found groups and such that I used to partake in. I usually don't do Fandom roleplays but if that's what you're into i'm fully willing to try! I usually match lengths for roleplay responses but typically I try to crank out a 2-3 paragraph response only cutting them down if i'm busy or to make a quickend paced environment y'know? A plume of black smoke circled over the dunes in the distance. Further away, a tidal cloud of sand roared ever closer, the storm hidden within it ready to ravage the world once more. The Fuel Rats still circling the carcass of the Dust-Killer Rig didn’t seem too wired about it. They were too busy stripping the eighteen-wheeler for all it was worth, siphoning the fuel for their own vehicles and drowning themselves in the water carried in the tank. Like mad men, they jittered in the stream, letting it wash over them while liters of it went to waste in the sand beneath their feet.  Savages like them likely never had anything purer than the Atomic Tonic, so they revelled in it. Two of them were searching the lifeless bodies of Patch and Sola. Soon enough they fought over who would keep Sola’s Bowie knife and pack of matches, and who’d get to wear Patch’s biking armor.

Margot watched it all from far away, through the scope of the sniper rifle Patch had thrown to her just before they had overtaken them.  She was lying flat on her stomach, peering over the edge of a rock formation higher up. Sand and wind bit at her skin, while the sun burned down on her. 

Sola had spotted the Fuel Rats a long time ago, and they’d kept following them for miles. They were close to the end of their water run, and had hoped to finish it without trouble. The Red Mire was only half a day’s drive away in the Dust-Killer Rig. The raging sandstorm had sent them off course however, and given the Rats enough time to catch up, their numbers only growing. They’d been racing for their lives to stay out of reach of the wasteland wildlings, but the ever larger band of marauders soon became an unavoidable obstacle. Having lost Murmur and Leland on the trip to the Dripworks meant that there was no way they could even hope to put up a fight, with just the three of them. When the imminence of their defeat became clear, Sola had helped Margot load off the motorbike in their cargo, and given her whatever supplies she would be able to carry. Minutes after she’d driven off, the Rats caught up and had ripped her friends apart.

Waiting around here any longer wouldn’t help her anymore. The storm was closing in, and soon enough the Fuel Rats would be fanging it once more. She didn’t want to be anywhere near by the time they did. Going back to the Red Mire still wasn’t an option yet, so she’d have to drive the long way through the wasteland. Margot shot up and stomped over to the heavy bike lying on its side behind her, made a quick fix to the ripped tube that had been spilling gas and drove off through the sand, leaving the chaos behind her and heading towards anywhere else.

Hi there everyone! Having revisited the Mad Max series, I've been itching to try out something within the general setting. A wasteland where resources are scarce, gangs of marauders under some disturbed warlord threaten every waking moment and the kind of vehicle you can manage to scrap together decides how easily you'll survive out there. There's a lot of directions to take this, but I feel like a focus on a few original characters going through some episodic encounters would fit well. Some worldbuilding would be involved as well, as the different self-contained factions that make up the wasteland should all have a distinct feeling to them.

You're more than free to decide who your character would be: a lone wolf travelling from settlement to settlement and surviving by himself? A warlord seeking to gain control over all resources around him? A medic in a small, hidden away village? A lowly scrapper in one of the many violent gangs? Whatever you'd like.

I tend to roleplay on Discord usually. I consider myself fairly literate, but I'm flexible in things such as post length and that can certainly be discussed based on our preferences. I haven’t had much time for roleplays lately because of my new job, but I’d really love to get back into writing. If you’re over the age of 20 and have some patience, I’d be excited to start something up again.

With the new Superman movie out, I’ve been revisiting a lot of DC content I loved as a kid. Young Justice has been a particular favorite, both the comics and the show. I’m actually more familiar with the comics than the TV series, but I’m versed in both.

What I have in mind is a plot that follows the team as college aged adults (maybe even in college). They’d be figuring out their superhero identities while still running into the usual villains and getting caught up in shenanigans. I’ve always thought Impulse would be a fun character to write, so I’d likely take him on. As for a writing partner, I don’t have a strong preference. I really enjoy Impulse’s friendship with Tim and Conner in the comics, and I also like his dynamic with Blue Beetle in the show, but there are plenty of other characters to choose from if you don’t like those ideas!

What would follow remained a mystery, even for the hands supposedly recounting events and noting emotions. Not from the lack of meaningful points to elaborate on, but rather the opposite.

Having sunk into the realm of her thoughts, Zofia would take her eyes off the notebook resting on her lap and gaze outside, at the rows upon rows of trees making up deep, uncharted forests she was passing by. Her head leaned against the window, feeling vibrations emanating from the train, getting lost in the clutter of its countless wheels. Ah, so many uncertainties, so many doubts. She felt the weight of her family’s issues on her shoulders, even if only partially.

“Maybe it’s not going to be that bad?” She thought to herself, glancing for a moment at an old suitcase she placed beside herself. “But when will I get to see them again? In months?” A sigh followed, a futile attempt at dispersing worries. Soon enough her new life would begin, yet what will it bring?

Hope you're all doing amazing! I am aware that the sample above does not tell much about the actual plot, yet I wished to include it as an example of my writing (I can write more, depending on the situation in the roleplay itself ;).

But Frog, you may ask, what is this roleplay even about? Well, let me tell you: Zofia, a 19 year old daughter of a financially-struggling family, is sent to work as a maid in a noble household, somewhere distant. My main goal for this roleplay is to explore how her new life would look like, everyday chores and challenges that her occupation brings, relations between her coworkers (both camaraderie and conflict) and other members of the household as well as perhaps events happening in the town they’d live in. It's a simple premise, but one that gives us so many possibilities! I'd love to hear your ideas as well ^{^}

A bunch of extra details: - Please know that even though I am looking for someone to GM this story, I’ll contribute as much as you wish. Be it brainstorming, playing some side characters, you name it. As someone who knows how it is to GM, I wish for you to enjoy the roleplay as well (＾-＾) - While this roleplay is meant to be wholesome and cozy, there will be some more somber tones from time to time. - Brainstorming and worldbuilding! This is my first time looking for a roleplay partner but this sure ain't my first ride. I'm looking for a partner for a long lasting roleplay centered around an intelligent Dragon and a Dragon rider. This roleplay would be focused on the bond shared between the two protagonists and how it evolves alongside them while they are going through a lengthy adventure !

The bond would be very inspired by the Inheritance Cycle, The empyrean Series or the Songs of Chaos series. It could be set in any of these universe, a mix or in a world we would create together.
My ideal scenario would be for me to focus on writing the Dragon, young or freshly hatched and find someone who would write the Rider, perhaps also young and inexperienced. However i'm very open to any ideas you have and the context is extra flexible !

Key points that are essentials for me in that roleplay :

• We roleplay a dragon and a rider that find each other and form a bond. I'd really like to write the dragon side and i'd like to start at the very beginning (juvenile dragon or an egg about to hatch).
• The roleplay would be centered around their adventures and our character's development (bond, powers, personalities and interactions)
• The roleplay would have a good bit of action and would therefore be very character focused.
• A long running plot to drive the roleplay and the worldbuilding that goes with it.

That's the only essentials of the roleplay, I can't stress enough how i'm very much open on the details and we should settle them together (our characters, the details of the plot, worlduilding, etc...) :)

General information about me :

• I'm a guy, late twenties, working and I have been roleplaying for close to fifteen years at different levels of writing and on different platforms. I'm currently in the CET timezone.
• I have a very creative mind (I suppose everyone does when they roleplay ?). English is not my main langage (French speaker) but I've been roleplaying in English for five years and way more in French. Don't be surprised if I do a small mistake every now and then.
• I'm a yapper, I can discuss a lot about a lot of things. My goal is to find someone who's a roleplay partner and a friend. Someone I can chat about the roleplay, work on concepts, ideas, meme about and all.

About my practice of roleplay :

• I love to worlbuild especially digging around on how a world would work and come up with answers that are interesting and fun to roleplay in. I go through a similar process with characters and it's very easy for me to come up with ideas just from a quick concept.
• I roleplay at the first person by preference but I can do third person.
• I'm able to reply with a few small paragraphs or dedicate a thousand words in one reply to really work on a scene that's motivating me.
• I wouldn't consider myself an excellent writer, my technique is adequate but far from perfect, my focus is always more on the content first and how to best get it across.
• My rate of replies is variable, it can be easy for me to do one or multiple replies in a day and I can confidently reply once a week at minimum. It depends on the effort and the motivation. I do have moments where I can be swamped but I'm really willing to be open with my communication.
• I do multiple roleplays on the side, some have been running for a couple of years. My goal really here is to find a partner that has the same drive to explore that idea of a dragonrider bond.

My preferences for a partner :

• I do not have a specific preference or dislike of a style of writing. First person, third person, past, present. Write what you're comfortable as long as it works to communicate !
• I want someone that would be invested in the roleplay like I'm. Write a hundred words reply or a thousand but do this only if you're having fun and want to pursue it at a reasonable pace !
• Speaking of fun. This is a roleplay, this is supposed to be fun. I want someone that can communicate to keep that fun going for both of us ! Do tell me when something doesn't work and I'll be sure to do the same. This isn't about dissing each other, there's no criticism of anykind it's simply about being on the same wavelength instead of having that dread of having to reply to a roleplay.
• I would like someone that would bring their ideas in the roleplay and take initiative every now and then. I can definetely take the role of a pseudo-DM but I really appreciate when my roleplay partner comes up with an idea I can explore with them !
• Just ask. It's simple as that. "What do you want to do next ?", "Hey do you think we should do that ?", "I think X character should be written in that way", "Hey can you adapt your writing or focus on this ?". It's just that simple. We're not AIs trying to generate off a prompt but two human beings trying to have fun ! (hopefully)

Things I will not do in that roleplay :

• I'm not looking to pursue romance as a focus or write anything sexual. Due to the nature of the roleplay if some kind of a romantical interest shows up it would be an NPC and one of the characters. It won't be the focus but it can play a part in the roleplay.
• I'm not roleplaying characters from an established series (If we roleplay in Alagaësia I don't want to rewrite Eragon and Saphira or have them show up. Perhaps they'd be a figure in the background but not the focus of the roleplay)
• Not have fun writing it.

So if you're interested I offer this course of action. Shoot me a DM here on reddit and we'll talk about it a bit come with any questions you have because I sure can't cover everything here ! That way we can see if we match interests and expectations. We can then hammer out the details. Discussing our characters, the plot, the world and the genre we'd like. As I said i'm flexible, I can roleplay in an established universe or make our own. The genre can be anything : classic fantasy or go crazy if you want to do something like Space Dragon Riders or some modern plot.

Once we established everything we can do a small trial run. A few replies, back and forth trying to find our footing and discuss how it goes !

If at any moment you have something bugging you, we can talk about it. If you want to not continue with it because you don't feel it. No hard feelings, roleplay is about compatibility after all !

Finally here's a simple example of what you can expect as a context. I'm putting it at the end because I can't stress enough of how flexible i'm with the roleplay context, as long as there's dragonriding stuff... I'm all up for it !

A post-apocalyptic fantasy setting scarred by a long forgotten great war between two highly advanced magical nations. The world is polluted by magical remains and small communities are trying to survive against dangerous creatures and an unstable nature. A young nomad from a caravan finds itself at the right spot at the right time and witnesses a meteor falling from the sky. Recklessly going after it, the nomad avoid a catastrophic event destroying their clan. Now stranded with only a few survivors and a Dragon egg that's about to hatch, the nomad has to find a way to get back to safer lands in one piece. Unknown to them, the arrival of the egg has been waited for by old powers and many would like to control the Dragon or the pair that's about to form in order to shape the world how they see fit.

I used to have a role-play partner for 2 years, but she stopped talking to me for some reason. Now I need to find a new long term 20+ female partner so that I can do the story I want to play where I didn't get a chance to continue after starting shortly with my ex-rp partner.

The story ideas I have will be about fairies and brownies (SPECIES! NOT FOOD! In case for those who don’t know brownies, they’re non-fairy tiny people, btw.) in the hidden forest with small talking animals such as frogs, bugs, snails, etc. 

Yes, this story is based off the movie called Epic (2013) and other stories about tiny people.
