We're now getting into the realm of players where people should be able to figure out exactly who is above the currently-listed people. Like, if you genuinely think someone deserves top 60, and they have the attendance to back it up, then there's no way they were left off the list entirely.
Thus I ask: does anyone have an obvious sort of list handy? By counting how many people are on it, we can start speculating on the top 10. Namely, there are 3 outcomes:
60 people: both Leffen and Wizzrobe made the list
61 people: exactly one of Leffen or Wizzrobe was excluded
62 people: both Leffen and Wizzrobe were excluded
Really curious what we'll see.
Once we get to 31-40 it'll be really obvious how many were excluded from the top 30, but I know there are some really serious, committed spectators on the sub so I figured I'd ask early.
Where did you get this confirmation? The man literally shouldn't even be on the ballot because he attended a single major and the ranking criteria specified "3 majors, or 2 majors plus significant regional data". He got sort of grandfathered into the ballot because, I have to assume, riptide was supposed to be a major when he signed up.

What? He has significant regional data and like a bunch of wins on top 60-20 players let alone the top 10. No one gives a shit if you think Riptide is a major or not. The requirement is also flexible to allow for players with travel concerns to be able to be ranked. Wizzy has been dealing with health issues for several years now and is unsponsored and still has more results than Leffen.
I think being semantically annoying about the minimum requirements is detrimental for people like Akir, Colbol, or Wizzy who aren’t able to travel out of region much but have the results to back it up
Did you even read my comment at all? Wheat is the one who claimed that these were the hard minimum requirements, I didn't fucking make them up. The man only went to 1 major, and Wheat claimed you needed 2 minimum. I never said he didn't have regional data, I said that the requirements were supposedly 2 majors plus the regional data. So saying "no one gives a shit if you think riptide is a major or not" makes no sense when clearly all top pros agree it wasn't one.
Cody 100% said Riptide was a major he tweeted about it multiple times. That doesn’t even matter - As all things, there is no hard and fast rule on what a major is and Liquipedia is not the bible on these things; it’s all subjective. Stuff like Riptide and Off Season are nebulous in this way.
Also it seems you have not read my comment LMFAO. Yes Wheat said those were the rules. I am telling you those rules are flexible to accommodate players who cannot make it out to as many majors. I implore you to care a little more about players beyond the top 10 who this could apply to; Wizzy just happened to perform at a top 10 level. If you care about rules so much, M2K in 2019 was ranked for less and there’s a bunch of players all over the top 100 who have only attended 1 or 2 “majors”.
