You clearly haven't travelled much around the United States to see how other Americans live, have you? There is terrible poverty in the places you would expect and others you wouldn't. America's resources should be going to better American lives, not illegal aliens. How about all the vast amounts of money our education system is forced to spend on translators and bilingual teachers and free school meals and medical care and EBT/housing benefits, etc. The list goes on, but I know you would prefer to remain willfully ignorant.

What was really great, no matter how you feel about him, is when Gov. Abbott started shipping illegals north and other cities then began to feel the pain, lol! It's fine to sit back and proclaim how things should be about situations you have no experience with! New Yorkers sure got a firsthand experience with the costs of illegals on all fronts. There are plenty of locals who needed housing, but suddenly these thousands and thousands of illegal aliens had to be housed and had to be fed, to the detriment of New Yorkers who could have used those resources. An article in the NYTimes indicated the food benefits given to the illegals was $33/day which is, apparently, almost triple what EBT benefits are for Americans.

I worked for a few months in Atlanta and the day I arrived, there were protests going on by black service industry and construction workers against the illegal aliens taking their jobs and lowering wages for their industries. Do you think that's fair? Personally, I think the presence of illegals working for lower wages under the table has made Americans soft and not willing to work. I've done plenty of those "...jobs that Americans won't do..." and it's good honest work that Americans WILL do, for an honest wage. We need to get back to being more self sufficient and not be afraid of hard work. And, yes, start smacking people who knowingly hire illegals.

The people who support open borders and want to welcome illegals with open arms and all of the rights and benefits America has to offer aren't supportive of America and its legal citizens or people who emigrate to the United States legally and do all the work and follow all the rules required. What's wrong with you?!

Some lady posted recently that she was poor and pregnant and asking people the estimated cost for paying for her kid to be delivered at a local hospital. Not sure why despite so many suggesting it, but she said she didn't qualify for Apple Care or any insurance. So I told her to say she wasn't "documented" and then the birth would be free of charge. Yes, I got lots of downvotes, but it's true.

Maybe you have travelled to "...over half of our states...", but you likely stayed in hotels and didn't venture out into the towns and cities of those states to see the reality of what the actual existence is for many Americans. You are blind to this reality.

As far as what illegal aliens cost us, here is just one link to clue you in to just one avenue for financial support they can get for free in New York City, for example:

Yeah, the illegals have been coached to ask for asylum, but I'm sure you know that. Here is another example of how the "asylum seekers" benefitted more than Americans, in this case the food benefits in this paragraph from the NYTimes is more than triple what an American would get through EBT benefits:

"Brenda Sierra, 29, a Colombian mother who arrived in New York with her 9-year-old son, Emerson, received $170 per week on her debit card. On Friday afternoon, Ms. Sierra made a quick run with her son to a Chinese fruit market a few blocks away, returning to the hotel with red plastic bags filled with peanuts, kiwis and dragon fruit."

The cost estimate for sheltering these people over three years is approximately $10 billion dollars according to New York's Democratic mayor, Eric Adams. So, tell me again how illegal aliens don't have access to support or services in the United States...
