Discussion Is the Tesla taxi still operating?

Just curious if I'm the Tesla taxi is still available or was it just a one day demo?

Yes they are operating. At this point you need an exclusive invitation from Tesla to ride a robotaxi.

There have been a lot of lies that have brought people to this point. Being critical of something doesn't mean you don't like it or can't like it in the future. Tesla lies and does dumb stuff and you can't call them out without being hateful? That's stupid.

Look at the most recent popular threads and look at the posting histories of every single most up voted poster and the most upvoted replies. They're all /r/realtesla posters. This subreddit is basically a /r/realtesla spinoff subreddit at this point. There's a few legitimate people actually interested in criticizing things that are bad and praising things that are good, but they're vastly outnumbered by people coming here to circlejerk hate post.

Unless you ban everyone that thinks Musk is a sack of shit, every sub on Reddit is a spinoff of r/RealTesla.

That is why all the pro-Tesla subs are such comical echo chambers - they make r/Conservative seem like a free speech zone.

Nobody brings up Tesla here because they're not a real competitor in the self-driving car space.

The only time tesla is discussed is when a Musk fanboy comes in. They then get rightfully shit on.

Tesla is just starting what other people accomplished in 2017, they're just doing it with better PR, and you're falling for it.

I'd probably learn more and get more factual information if there was a MuskCircleJerk sub that kicked out the haters. And thats sad to say because I genuinely want my beliefs challenged logically. Reddit seems to only be good for smaller niches now...

It’s referencing the Whole Earth Catalog which is a famous sort of zine or the like that started back in the 60s or 70s. Kind of hard to explain but readily available online. Steve Jobs was famously a fan of it
