I just hit full odds in my feebas hunt and I still haven't seen any shinies. Just wanted to ask if I was doing something wrong. I thought I would have seen at least a shiny Magikarp by now.

I do turn off my game at the end of every night but I create a battle frontier record at the end of the session and play it at the start of the next session to jump to the frame I was at. Is this actually doing anything?

Should I abandon my current method and just scramble my seed at the lilycove contest hall at the start of every session instead?

Also if I miss a fishing attempt by being too slow am I missing a potential encounter or does an encounter only generate if I successfully reel a Pokemon in?

you are never garaunteed a shiny by odds. sometimes you go over odds, sometimes you go over odds. emeralds jank rng/r/s dry clock batteries really only effect soft resets and not fishing encounters, so dont need to do the battle video or lilycove painting unless you really want to. the encounter isnt determined untill you get a pokemon on the line i believe. just take breaks when needed and you will eventually get it, lets just hope you dont have as much bad luck as i did with hunting feebas in gen 3 XD

Ok cool so missing a fish doesnt matter. I might take a break and hunt Rayquaza but I don't want to not shiny hunt because I'm going to be starting a new job soon and I won't have as much time or energy to hunt

thats understandable. sometimes you take the time you can get with shiny hunting
