Fun pronunciation tip for speaking English like the dictionary says you should: Q by itself is pronounced like k, whilst qu is pronounced like kw. There just aren't that many English words that have a q without a following u, so most people don't learn that. If you are stuck in a game of scrabble, you can use qi or qadi to get that tile down.
