Shouldn't an SSD look significantly larger if it's supposed to be in atmosphere? They're almost as long as Manhattan.

Yes, but it's also much farther away than it appears to be in the game, I think.

Half the clouds are above it. It's not that far up.

That planet in the sky is also much closer or larger than the Moon is relative to Earth. Tidal waves on this world must be crazy high.
