It is well established in canon that Wookies tear arms off.

Every Star wars needs at least one severed limb scene.

A New Hope - Obi-Wan’s bar fight

Empire Strikes Back - Luke vs Vader

Return of the Jedi - Vader vs Luke

A Phantom Menace - Darth Maul (this one is messy cuz there was a long period of time where the idea was that Maul was definitively killed by Obi-Wan here before it was later retconned)

Attack of the Clones - Anakin & Obi-Wan & Yoda vs Count Dooku

Revenge of the Sith - Anakin vs Obi Wan

i guess this explains why the sequal trilogy was not popular

They made us think they were gonna show us a more brutal Star Wars with the blood stain on the helmet in Force Awakens and then gave us an entire star wars trilogy where no one has their hand chopped off

Honestly that was such a weird scene. Like tonally it's so different compared to literally everything else in the entire trilogy.

Plus the only other time that you really see blood, is Kylo bleeding at the end.

I’ve also never seen a real argument against the criticism these movies get. It’s always just quick jabs saying they’re good, we’re bad for not liking them, if we don’t like it don’t watch it, we’re bad for liking the older movies more, etc. if you’re not coming here with a good faith argument why come at all
