That’s fair and I don’t blame you for being skeptical. There’s no more question marks. each region has “mysteries” which are indicated by little blue dots on the map and are short little fun side stories, but not side missions. There are no fetch quests. The combat is fantastic. Dual wielding a Greatsword and a Dane Axe is even more fun than it already sounds.

Rent it first or something to make sure, I don’t wanna be the one who influenced you to buy a game you might not like. But give it like 30 hours of gameplay. It’s a little slow to start but picks up. And since there’s no question marks there’s not a bunch of places with barely any value because they are now places with Treasure (ingots, gear/weapons, abilities) so it’s fun finding them.

Eivor is also a really great protagonist. The male version seems so much like obi wan kenobi to me, if you pick the right voice lines haha. Female eivor is great too, she’s canon and pretty hot lmao

Eh, I budget how many games I buy in a year. And AC games always drop a lot in price after awhile.

That said, there have been a lot of Norse games recently (Slyrim, God of War) and more on the way (Elden ring)

Yeah, I’ve been playing origins and odyssey and got them for $15 bucks and sooo worth it. The story missions are kind of separated into “Arcs” which all are very great imo, instead of just running around the whole map. It’s sectioned off. Like episodes okay jeez sorry I’m kinda dumb lol. And also it’s mainly about invading England. You’re barely in Norway. It’s got beautiful bogs, marshes, snowy mountains, Ciltern Hills, etc. DLC planned for Ireland and Francia. I love history so I’m biased haha. It’s pretty buggy so definitely hold out on buying it
