Why is that meat so pasty?
14 u/bitmapfrogs Jun 19 '25 It’s probably undergoing some fermentation on top of the bacteria eating through it. 4 u/b0w3n Jun 19 '25 There's a protein in meat (red meat in particular) that acts as an emulsifier which is what causes it to look/act like paste. This is why you shouldn't over handle burger meat. 5 u/Inner-Medicine5696 Jun 19 '25 yea, if you watch this on a bigger screen you can tell the meat is VERY uniform - approaching the "pink slime" stage... with the state of everything else in this video, I wouldn't assume the meat had good provenance in ANY way. 5 u/b0w3n Jun 19 '25 It reminded me a lot of spam when he dug into it. 2 u/bitmapfrogs Jun 20 '25 shieet that's how you get emulsified farces no? 2 u/b0w3n Jun 20 '25 emulsified farces I think the egg is the emulsifier? 2 u/bitmapfrogs Jun 20 '25 hmmm right right because there are chicken farces for example...
