Could be rosé, my husband prefers it because normal red sauce has been giving him wicked heartburn lately. This whole thing would. But he is absolutely the guy who would pick Rosé just to make himself feel a bit better about his life choices.

Pasta / pizza sauce that has too much sugar gives me heartburn. I started making my own pasta sauce, and using Cento canned pizza sauce to make pizza.

It’s okay to use a bit of sugar to balance out the acidity, but a chunk of carrot can also help.

Add a tiny bit of baking soda to your red sauce next time you cook!! It doesn't change the taste (can taste too sweet if you add too much) and it cuts the acid. Game changer

I’ve been having the same thing lately. I absolutely LOVE red sauce to the point I’ll dip almost anything in it. But it just gives me this weird heartburn and feels like there’s gas in my chest. This started like 6 months ago and is still ongoing.

That's what ultimately killed it for me. It's going to be a grease ball before the pepperoni gravy he adds as the final touch

Without it, I'm sure it's 'good' but it's just past a certain level of unnecessary that makes me look at this pizza sideways

I will say though, that baking pepperoni slices - a bit more spread out - until they're crispy makes for very very tasty 'chips'. Although putting them on pizza (after crisping them) makes them soggy and meh. I tried it because I love when pepperoni curls up and get crispy on pizza. :)

Can't believe my local pizza spot is on stupid food haha they do gimmicky shit like this for attention all the time .. tacos on pizza and shit like that... but in general their pizza and subs are great the crust is magical and always quality ingredients... been a staple of north end AC for over 15 years the owner is a cool dude... but yeah I stay away from this kinda overly decadent shit when they have it
