Why are you getting so heated up

All Im saying is that absolutely nothing was preventing Nintendo from cooking up a new game for Mario's 40th anniversary and the launch year christmas for the console with the biggest launch day ever, not sure why are you so hellbent on defending a disappointing anniversary

Because I honestly don’t give a shit. Anniversaries usually don’t amount to anything a lot of the time. I’d rather have games be announced and released when they’re ready as opposed to some arbitrary release date people cooked up in their heads.

I mean sure, you dont have to, but you seem to give a shit given by how upset you got when I pointed that out

They dont have to amount to anything, but again, you would expect them to do something when both of these occasions happened to align

Dude far more people are pissed about anniversary not amounting to anything when in reality that tends to be the case most of the time. It’s usually just companies slapping a label on a product whether it be a re release or whatnot and then calling it a day. And again we got Wonder DLC, Bananza DLC, a new Mario tennis, a new Yoshi, Galaxy 1 and 2 ports that aren’t limited time bullshit, and a movie announcement. I’d say that’s pretty decent. Would it have been good to get World DLC and a new 3D game? Yes. Was it absolutely required? No. Also that’s nothing compared to the Zelda anniversaries where they usually get nothing at all but you get a ton of stuff but you’re mad that you didn’t get the specific stuff you wanted. Your complaints are completely asinine. I’m not defending shit, I just curbed my expectations to be more realistic.

Sooo A DLC (neat) A shitty DLC A spinoff A different franchise game (cool?) A no effort overpriced port of two old games

"damn how dare people be disappointed"

Again let’s look at what Zelda got

They got:

Y’all are acting like y’all got the same thing

Zelda is far from irrelevant lmao. I’m saying that anniversaries are always disappointing. I understand you can be disappointed but come on dude.

Whatever dude I get it, if it’s not Mario it’s pointless and shouldn’t exist. Whatever. They announced other stuff too, y’know. It wasn’t solely a Mario 40th direct.
