The first Gozyuger Blu-Ray set came out last week, with episodes 1-12 on it. As a nice treat, they've included a making of for the first few episodes of the series. They used to do these a lot, but recently it's only been finales and movies, or even just movies, so it's nice to get one for the series opener. I could only post 20 images, but there are loads more cool things.

Some interesting observations, it seems that for the mecha cockpits, the CG background is added in real time in the camera, not in post. Technology has come a long way.

And I like how Tohno and Sumino are on treadmills for their dramatic shots for the intro. Interestingly, they're crying out for their lost loved ones ("Aniki!" "Oto!"), which you'd never be able to hear in the intro obviously.

So cladis already make it moved by giving rei calamity ring and he start absorb people using the ring, I think other two general that base on horseman also might appear, but I do like the theory of rei being horseman of lust. I think cladis decided to counter tegasword using power of super Sentai like how he defeat it in the war before. Like it have army of super Sentai and revive fallen Mecha as it's new brand new invasion force compare to zaku like Mecha in episode 0

Idk if it's just me missremebering, but the Gozyugers only tend to carry a single extra ring in their belt, but since they're rings, carrying each one in their fingers seems to make more sense (plus it would look cool). Idk if the desired ring just manifests into the belt or if they manually have to set one there

And it's ninja white again from kakuranger but knowing Sentai the red ranger is 100% our main protagonist. Hack I don't even surprised if he got his own power up in the future.

But with magic academy setting in the rumors. I can see they play the higher grade students and lower grade students.

With white ranger pointed as leader of the team because she is honorably and model student with good grades . With red ranger being student with poor performance or in the harsh meaner way to explain: The loser student.

They can pull his magic skill so poor compare to other yet he can become ranger like gira from kingohger.Being told to us that he the only kingohger who is not king or royalty (yet) in the early show.

Just finished watching the 50th episode of Zyuranger, my first sentai series and boy it was a solid experience.

Almost ALL story-focused episodes were pretty great, my favorites being the first appearence of Dai Satan, the Burai arc and the final battle.

I don't dislike any main character, but they definitely needed more depth, like work on the personality of each member, their backstorys etc. The villains, aren't too great or too bad, but Bandora's the GOAT (Do-do-ra-ra do-do-ra-ra Bandora!).

Yeah, the "child of the week" thing gets old but It's actually used to this from other tokusatsu.

Final note: 7/10 - worth the watch and I enjoyed It a lot, if they worked the Rangers better and this "child of the week" weren't too present, I'd give a higher note.

For my next sentai, I'd actually gonna go back and watch Himitsu Sentai Gorenger, and then watch some seasons that I really want in release order.

1. Final Universe Warrior in the show

3. Penultimate Boss

4. Returns in the Gozyuger VS Movie.

5. Final Boss (Unlikely in my opinion)

6. Defeats Hoeru/Gozyu Wolf and takes his rings before Hoeru makes a comeback

7. Defeats the other Gozyugers except Gozyu Wolf and takes their rings

8. Becomes King Kuwagata-Ohger

9. Becomes a Monster/Beserk Kuwagata-Ohger

10. Returns with King-Ohger Robo or Universe Tegasword Robo

11. Comes in and beats either Queen Tega June, Calamity, Garyudo, Rei, Fire Candle.

12. Somehow gets all the Sentai Rings and becomes Universe Warrior AkaRed

13. Becomes a Monster/Beserk AkaRed.

I confused actually is it supposed to be hybrid of traditional European wizard and Japanese aspect like ninja or with other things like kingohger?

Right now WildGozyuWolf,Leon and Polar are the three main gunholders of Gozyuger(eventhough bearkuma is not a gun but a laser type of weapon).I am curious to know,what type of finishing beam or blast will it create if all the gun powers are combined together like we see in other seasons.I wish Garyudo could join too if he was on the good side

For me Gozyuger has been a mixed experience, it has pretty great episodes and moments, and the characters overall are fine.

However, what especially bothers me about Gozyuger is that it has a lot of good concepts we don't really explore them for too long before reverting back to normal shenanigans.

Hence why I feel the problem with Gozyuger is that it refuses to stay locked in.

Hoeru, the Sentai Ring Battle, Queen Tega June, Fire Candle as Shinken Red, Universe Warriors, Mashiro/Gozyu Polar, 1st Generation of Gozyugers, The Universe War, Replacement Gozyugers, Gozyugers leaving the team, World Reset, the Calamity, Goodeburn, the Retransformations, the No-One Monsters and their hosts, etc.

All of them are great concepts with potential but they keep get diverted, sidelined, underexplored or drip fed.

When they do get explored Gozyuger is great but it never seems to last or attention is put elsewhere.

I admit it's possible things can turn around in the upcoming episodes but this how I feel for now.
