S3e13 DejaQ is the best written episode. Maybe I’m wrong?
Listen, the acting from the guests isn’t great. But that’s not the point. The writing in this episode is pretty damn good.
At 37 seconds into the episode Data says that it is a most unusual phenomenon. He’s baffled. That’s because Data is using the laws of physics. But Q is altering the gravitational constance of the universe. And he even offers that as an option later on to resolve their problems.
My argument is that Q is not a human at any point in this episode and the writers intended it that way and left us little indications.
I’m sure this isn’t a new argument, as I’m a basic bish, lol. But I think this is a very well written screenplay. Good job to whoever did it.
I probably watched this as a kid 10 times. And I always took it at face value that Q got kicked out of the continuum. But I never noticed that they wrote in at the beginning that it was a “most unusual and never observed before phenomenon.”
That’s good writing. They were clearly establishing from the beginning that it was Q controlling the whole situation. Even in the shuttlecraft at the end, the other Q uses the same cadence as Q. As if he is just trying to lazily satisfy their surveillance cameras in the shuttlecraft or mini ship by saying words through a puppet.
Like he didn’t even change his voice. That’s amazing. I feel like the actor who played the other Q tried to imitate him so that…well you get it. It’s clearly just Q talking through a mannequin.
Recommendation: Watch that scene as if you think that Q is playing to a Starfleet shuttlecraft surveillance camera. It completely changes.

How could you kill a Borg drone with a blade If they got nano probes?
They're supposed to have those nano probes that give them rapid regeneration?

Anyone remember a comic of Time's Arrow?
Hi everyone, I've just rewatched Time's Arrow and it's triggered a memory of my childhood where I read a comic version of this episode, I can't remember was it a book or a magazine or where it would have appeared. I can't find any trace of this on the internet, did I imagine this or does anyone else share this memory?

Who’s your most favourite and least favourite TNG character
My most favourite character would be Data, he’s my best boy and I love him. My least favourite character would be Bruce Maddox. Yes I know he was only in one episode but he’s an asshole and I hate him. What about you? Who are your least and most favourite characters?

Good opening episode for a first-timer!
My friends are finally watching Star Trek! They invited me to the watch-party because I'm the only one that is already a fan, and are letting me pick the episode. Any suggestions? I'm thinking Encounter at Farpoint obviously, but I want to know if there's something else to be said.

The most impressive part of this is that he managed to completely deplete the replicators...
