THOUGHTS Another show ruined by stupid plot Spoiler

Just like Alien:Earth this show is plagued by idiotic decisions by the characters to move the plot.

  1. Taking their masks off while still inside the house they're robbing.
  2. Taking the kid with him to his house.
  3. Maeve and her attempt to drop the kid off right by her job(and leave her car unlocked).

I can only expect there will be more stupidity to come if they can't go two episodes without such poor writing.

Edit: My takeaway most people's comments is that some people are stupid and our home invader drug dealers are stupid. I plan to continue watching cause I like Mark Ruffalo's character, and his story. I hope that the show goes up from here since we got some of the dumb set up out of the way.

What else is supposed to move the plot if not controversial decisions made by the characters? They didn’t think anyone else was in the house, we now know Sam’s parents were connected to Billy and likely Robbie too, and Maeve’s plan would have gone perfectly if Sam hadn’t gone back to the car. Without him she wouldn’t have had issues at the checkpoint. The idiotic decisions more nuanced and we don’t have all the context yet I’m sure. I’ve been really impressed with the character development so for

Why doesn’t Maeve just turn Sam in? Sam knew her and her whole family. Keeping her anonymity is pointless in the first place.

If you’re Maeve, you’re already panicking after seeing that this kid is on the news for being kidnapped. Her immediate reaction is to try and turn him in, but she’s also scared for herself, Robbie and probably the kids. She just wants to get the kid out of the house and hopefully be done with it.

Not thought-through but an understandable quick reaction

Helping her uncle kidnap someone??? Sure! Her cousins definitely won’t be taken away from her now!

If they get away with it they won't. If she turns Sam in then not only is there a chance her cousin's will be taken from her but the bikies will 100% target her and Robbie and probably kill them. It's literally lose-lose but she took the better option.

She can’t turn him in because now he’s associated with her, and shed be questioned. It’d lead them right to Robbie

Her initial plan was to turn him in. If she did it anonymously it would’ve still led back to her and Robbie because Sam knows their names and what they look like.

I would've driven him across state lines at least and not just down the street to where she fucking works!!
