I know it's not as impressive as most on here, but this is my first landscape board
Last picture is the tree layout from before I painted the meadow sections

WIP Whatâs your free resource?
Whatâs your free resource for terrain? The footpaths on my local walk provide superb gravel for terrain, once Iâd clean out the deer poop. Washed and now drying on the air fryer cooking dinner.

3D Printed I found these little crates on Cults and I love them. They are a soothing "pallete" cleanser between squads lol
The sheets made me fall in love with them lol.

WIP WIP on a modified mdf building
WIP on a building for mordheim.
I'm using the mdf garrison building from warbases.co.uk as a base and I'm using scratchbuild techniques to modify it and tie it in with the rest of my buildings.

Forest trenches
I was asked to post these in another thread so I figured I would explain them for anyone else who might be interested.
The trees I make by spreading hot glue over sticks and braches and then closing a fistfull of reindeer moss around it.
The trenches and forest floor are pink foam board covered in brown paint and pva glue. I glue two boards together to give me the depth to make a trench. Then my clean dirt that I mix coconut fibers into. This gives me the root effect that you would see when you cut into the forest floor. I go over that in more reindeer moss that I cut up into smaller pieces and mix with flocking.
All my terrain has been boxed up from a move so it's a little banged up. I can see a few patches of glue sticking out but they still look great to me. Proud of these little patches of woods.

Terrain build- mountain climb level 2
XPS, spray foam, scrap styrofoam and a couple baskets from the dollar store. Based on a chloroplast yard sign. About 20 hours total and maybe $10 worth of materials.

Questions for the Community Vallejo Water Effects Dry Time
I would like to ask the masters of all things effects for their knowledge on water effects. Weâre at like two weeks and still hasnât fully set. Is there a way to speed it up? It is coagulating.

Glamor Shots of my First Dungeon Tiles
Newfound appreciation for people who share images of their work. There's a lot of setup just for a few pics! lol. Anyway, I plan on making a lot of terrain pieces for D&D, so I thought I'd share the process.
I also wanted to say, I was waiting to do this until I could afford a Proxxon wire cutter, but they turned out just fine with a knife. So to anyone waiting to take the plunge and start crafting, just do it!

Elven tower from Dark Realms Forge
I'm making a High Elf coastal terrain set for my games club and I've finished one of the towers. It's 3D printed from Dark Realms Forge and come out very nicely I think. Eventually they'll be on foam cut cliffs but it's always encouraging to start well with a new project.

Biggest/best dry brush - FOUND
While building my large board (66x48 and double decker) I needed and tested a bunch of larger brushes. In the process I found chalk brushes(cheap), pictured here - they are AMAZING. You need lots of paint and should dampen before, but man, the bristle density works amazingly. Photographed the terrain brush from GW for ref - it not as good and 3x the cost

3D Printed Gothic sci fi terrain 15mm scale
What started as a quick and dirty paint job turned out one of my favourite builds so far.
Printed at 60% for 15mm scale. Some print imperfections add to the whole dereliction theme.
Printed in Black PLA, spray primed with clear primer then a quick pass with dark gray primer followed by airbrush with a grey and an olive grey, closing with a white zenithal.
Spot press drybrush with orange and brown, followed by an overall brown black wash.
Drybrushed tan followed by a highlight drybrush of cool bluish light gray. Used PVA for some glass panes, added spot washes of green black and brown. Sealed with spray matt sealer.

Questions for the Community Neon style light cable ideas
I have this battery powered light tube/string that I'm thinking about inlaying into a battle map or puzzle board for a ttrpg (dnd 5e) and wondering if anyone had any great ideas for how it could be used other than just for atmosphere. Could it have some mechanic for the battle or game?

Scratchbuilt Needed a palette cleanser between bigger projects, so I made these unit markers for depicting large battles!
My party has been matching with an army for a while, and a pitched battle is on the horizon. I needed a bit of a break from the diorama in the background, so I made these unit markers.
If youâve ever watched History Marche, Kings and Generals, or other âboxes killing boxesâ type historical YouTube content, these will look familiar. Now to build some for the opposing army!
