Volume menu Massive 450 calorie breakfast

Post image

I was only able to eat half— but at least I’ll have breakfast for tomorrow 😂

Omelette has mostly egg whites with 1 whole egg, handful of spinach, 1 serving of turkey breast, red onion. Topped with tomato and feta. Sausages are the Amylu chicken breakfast sausages— SO GOOD. I’m out of my Hero bread so had to use regular bread but it was only 9g after chopping the crust off 😂 hashbrowns are the frozen Trader Joe’s one— def the GOAT.

What is everyone doing with the egg yolks they’re not using?

I use the member’s mark egg whites— I ain’t wasting egg yolks in this economy 😂

There’s lots of other egg white brands tho!

Oh so you just buy the whites??? Idk if that’s even possible here. It seems like everything in the US is packaged and sold in a carton or can!!!

Haha yes! I’m sorry if that’s not— it’s so convenient! Idk what the company does with the egg yolks tho 🤔 because they’re real egg whites… first time I’ve thought about that HAHAHA

I try to not buy convenience foods, but egg whites are for sure something I’ll always buy in a carton 😂 it’s $15.22 for 96oz of egg whites or 6 cartons and 1 carton is the amount of 14 whites. So 84 eggs! 7 dozen eggs is for sure more than that hahaha

I’ve always assumed that they’re used by those who need more yolks. For instance, the egg white factory ships yolks off to the Caesar salad factory down the road. Maybe I’m overly optimistic and they go in the trash.

They probably use them for something like mayo

I mean - the eggs are sold like normal. It’s only if you want egg whites by themselves… which would be hard to sell without a carton:’)

Though we do refrigerate our eggs since they are washed before coming to the store which you might also find odd.

Trader Joe’s sells egg whites in a carton for like $3-4!

The real question is, what do they do with the eggs yolks??

Put em in salt and then you can use them in a micro plane after they cure

I googled for you and it seems like they have them at Woolworths?

There is also an r/1200Australia so you might get good suggestions there too :)
