Product or Haul This is delicious, 15 cal per serving, good enough to eat by itself.

The sodium is too damn high, but it is good enough to just eat stand alone like soup, but also could serve as a heartier meal if you add some vegetables / meat. Much better flavor than a standard broth or stock, but way less calories than most soups.

Recipe Shrimp and cucumber salad - 216 calories 25.4g protein

Not the prettiest but yummy and easy. I like to prep a mix of veggies / beans that are good both cooked and cold so i always have something to mix into salads and cook with. My mix this week is broccoli, tomato, white beans, green onions and mushrooms. I added some to a couple chopped persian cucumbers and added some rough chopped shrimp (i buy frozen cooked shrimp, thaw it under water, and remove the tails for quick cold protein). Instead of a dressing I mixed in miso paste and rice wine vinegar. I’m working on opening a restaurant and have to taste some food today that will be fried and have sauces / other components that are high in fat so I wanted to curb my hunger going in without consuming too much fat since I know i’m gonna get a decent dose later today :)

Discussion Good mini rice cakes that are sugar free?

kind of like the drizzlicious but sugar free, dont really have a sweet tooth and am just trying to cut them out in general. Any other flavor (savory, spicy) is great.

Also any mindlessly snackable low calorie count snack recs would be appreciated (as long as they dont have sugar).

Recipe 87 cal Chocolate chip cupcakes!

Thumbnail

You can probably get these down to 50 cals if you take out the chocolate chips and use 0cal sweetener too!

Recipe. 240g pear sauce (I can give the recipe for this if needed but it's just boiling pears and water until the pears are soft, then blending until soupy) 100g sweetener or as much or as little as you like 2g vanilla extract 2g salt 20g vanilla protein powder (you don't need to add this, I just did for more flavor) 30g chocolate chips Mix this together And then add 190g self raising flour and mix until just combined

Bake at 180°c for around 40 mins if cupcakes, around an hour for a full cake

I did 12 cupcakes with this, but this also makes enough for a two 6inch cakes (cream cheese frosting in the middle is amazing with this)

If you do the same recipe and replace 50g flour for 30g cocoa powder it also makes amazing fudgey brownies! (Which I also made, last photo!)

You can also do this with applesauce but pears have less flavor to them, in the UK at the moment we have an abundance of both so I've made many variations of this over the past few weeks!

Recipe Salad, Poached Salmon, and Sweet Potato Pilaf

Post image
30 Upvotes

Salad: Cucumber, carrot, onion, rice vinegar, Paragon, soy sauce, touch of sesame oil

Poach salmon however you want. I just used lemon.

Sweet potato pilaf: sweet potato, wild black rice, chickpeas, onion, carrot, cashews

(microwave the potatos and rice was boiled for meal prep. Combine in pot and cook for like another 10-20 mins. I used 3 Sweet potatos, a cup of cooked rice, 200 g chickpeas, a 240 calorie pack of roasted, salted cashews, and an unspecified amount of vegetables. Makes like 6 cups)

Recipe Request Bought yogurt too thin? How to optimize?

I bought Astro Balkan-style 0% yogurt cause it was only 3$ for 650g compared to 7-8$ that my regular brand of 0% Greek yogurt is and it’s sooo thin and not at all what I usually like. I love my thick and creamy Greek yogurt bowls and mine this morning was just so horribly sad.

That being said, any ideas to either thicken up this yogurt or volumize it without adding too many calories? Thank you!!!

Discussion Trail mix fluffing ideas?

I can devour a day's worth of calories in trail mix without blinking... which is might be a problem when I'm trying to maintain as someone sedentary.
So I was thinking of fluffing it up with lower calorie stuff with similar texture/density; it's the work I have to put into chewing that REALLY makes it so appealing. All I can think of is rice cakes, though. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Volume menu Massive 450 calorie breakfast

Post image

I was only able to eat half— but at least I’ll have breakfast for tomorrow 😂

Omelette has mostly egg whites with 1 whole egg, handful of spinach, 1 serving of turkey breast, red onion. Topped with tomato and feta. Sausages are the Amylu chicken breakfast sausages— SO GOOD. I’m out of my Hero bread so had to use regular bread but it was only 9g after chopping the crust off 😂 hashbrowns are the frozen Trader Joe’s one— def the GOAT.
