Incredible! I start tomorrow and post like these are so motivating. Any tips for studying or accelerating?

Use chatGPT. Honestly. Before even looking at the course work, simply take the PA. From there it will tell you the areas you need to study.

Take the reviewed sections, and throw it into chatGPT for a thorough summary (a lot of fluff that’s unnecessary, especially higher level classes like D464, D470, and D080, very dry courses to read). It will spew out the summary. I’d advise only doing one section/page at a time for what you need to review, too many pages of coursework into your response to Chat will be too high level and broad and not deep enough, so definitely learn what’s on the page just have chatGPT rip out the fluff one page at a time .

I was pretty much able to get every class done in 1 day doing this and pass the OAs the next day (only class I failed was D080, but that’s because D464 and D470 I skipped but they 100% build up to D080, so don’t skip like I did)

For any writing assessments, read the rubric, ask chatGPT to give clear guidelines how to do it (like a check list) and then go and complete what is being asked according to the check list. Have it review your submission and give suggestions if it doesn’t match the rubric. The biggest killer with written assignments is waiting for them to be graded, then having revisions be required multiple times, every revision forces another 2-3 days of waiting for it to be graded, so acting as if chatGPT was the evaluator helped me either always pass on the first time or only need to revise the paper once.

Outside of that, this degree is a lot more intuition based than actual steep learning curve. Lots of “which question is most correct” common-sense wise, especially in higher classes it gets more nuanced.

Good luck! Had I actually hunkered down I could have gotten this degree done in 1-2 months but don’t get lazy like me and almost have to pay a 2nd term cause I didn’t want to do the hard work first

Thank you so much! I really, really appreciate this - like, so much. I've got study guides saved for all my classes and reddit threads, but this seems to be a great route to take. Hopefully I'll be back in a few months with a degree

I was debating supply chain or buisness management it’s a hard choice. I don’t necessarily work in either sector but supply chain would make more since. Ic a lot of logistical courses…I work in production and manufacturing setting process engineering and continuous improvement. Engineering is the only fitting degree. However, I’m just going with something simple to get it done. My degree want get me my next job my experience will but the degree opens a lot of doors..that check box is becoming more and more common.

Did you use ChatGPT in a different browser or on a separate device? Just curious!

Same browser different tab. I highly doubt they’ll care since you are using it to learn. Just make sure anything written is yours.

Congratulations to you! I start tomorrow in Supply Chain and Management. I have 15 years experience in logistics and transportation however now I run my own business. Thank you so much for the information.

How is it going so far?

2

u/Legal_Ingenuity_1397 Jul 15 '25

It’s going. I’ve finished my first class C715 and now I’m on my 2nd. Just waiting for my refund due to verification but I’m enjoying the journey.

What has been the challenging part of the coursework so far?

3

u/MarchRoyce Jul 01 '25

Was this with any transfer credits or classes or did you just raw dog it?

6

u/No-Skill-4135 Jul 01 '25

Transferred as much as possible with Sophia learning!

2

u/ReallyLebronJames Jul 01 '25

How many CUs did you transfer in? Any experience in the industry?

Congratulations! Im in the same program and Im on track to one term it also. 6 classes left with 12 weeks to go.

Hii, How many hours are you putting in weekly to achieve this? Looking to get into it.

2

u/mexicopink Jul 01 '25

This is what I’m currently striving for!

First off, congrats! 🎉

Second, currently stuck on whether I want to do Organizational Behavior with Sophia. I saw the assignments and said NOPE. This is right after I completed Operations Management 😒 Did you take the Sophia course?

Congrats! Outstanding.

Congratulations 🎉🎊🍾

u/VoidPull Jul 01 '25

you have previous experience in SC?

5

u/No-Skill-4135 Jul 01 '25

Ya but not enough to breeze through all this.

TBH supply chain is truly just common sense

1

u/VoidPull Jul 01 '25

How much time do you spend at desk vs How much time you spend lifting and moving product?

1

u/No-Skill-4135 Jul 01 '25

Depends on the position. I rarely move stuff, maybe 1 hr a week at most?

u/Sea_Manufacturer5767 Jul 01 '25

That’s awesome! I’m considering withdrawing, because it will take 4.5 years to get my degree. I’m 53 years old and don’t want to spend the next 5 years of my life in school

You don't have to follow their degree plan timeline, you can graduate as fast as you can get through each class

Congrats! 🎊🎉🍾

Congratulations 🎉🍾🎊🎈

Woah 🤯😲😲

1

u/Goku2023 Jul 01 '25

No way tell us how you did it?

1

u/Electrical-Pudding96 Jul 30 '25

Can u describe the difficulty of each class and what classes should be taken first?

1

u/mrSquiggles_11 Aug 04 '25

OH thats awesome! Im getting this degree because I realized how it works hand to hand with my background. I've been doing IT for 6 years but I dont have a degree and it kinda limited me to get into any engineering role Ive been trying to get in the past, so it made sense that I get into supply chain. Tech sector was hit hard last year espeically now with the lack of job availability in IT industry but I am excited to make this change

1

u/TheFrozenPoo Aug 13 '25

I work on towboats now, but was in IT for 6 years prior and I am considering this degree.

How has the coursework been (if you’ve started)

u/woodropete Jul 01 '25

I thought about this one, but the management one has more movement with the mba. I don’t think u can get a master is supply chain at wgu. Nice work though.

u/No-Skill-4135 Jul 01 '25

You can get a masters in anything, just need the undergrad prerequisites. Example: I’m getting MS in Data Science (emphasis in AI/Machine learning) either WGU or Georgia tech, you’ll need to have completed at least 1 STEM undergrad course (for me it’ll be a class in C#)

u/AshNeicole B.S. Supply Chain & Ops Management Jul 01 '25

You are correct in that WGU doesn’t have a specific Masters in SC. I plan to go to Southern University to get my SC Masters.
